the terminal is well maintained. need a board with proper guideline to help first time visitors about the payment mode
Lots of activity in the park area where the ferry dock access is located. Ice cream truck and bbq pits, NYPD presence, automated kiosks to purchase ferry fare (metro cards do not give ferry access). Board with scheduled departure times and stops was semi accurate, but the wait was pleasant with lots of space on the dock, although windy and a bit chilly at sunset. Overall an enjoyable experience, felt like if I were using it as necessary public transport that it would have been fast and efficient and very pleasant to use. Just for a change of pace, it got us to midtown-34th st faster than the subway and with a much better view.
The best way for residents of Soundview / Clason point to get into the East side of Manhattan. Parking can be difficult during peak hours so try riding a bike or taking the bus. The ferry schedule is posted on the dock and the waiting are is shielded from the wind. It’s a beautiful and peaceful ride.
The terminal is a bit small, but it's cleanliness was much appreciated. The price of a one train or bus fair to see great view of LaGuardia, and all of NYC from Long Island sound is worth it. Only took about 30 mins to reach the lower Eastside. A worthwhile trip
On a beautiful day like today why not take the ferry instead of the subway. It's not always the fastest or most direct route but the views are amazing 🤩.
I just love the Ferry ride to Manhattan and it's so close to Home I can walk.
If you want to watch the sunset this is the PERFECT spot. I take so many pictures at Soundview station.

I love the ride! Not overly crowded, the snacks are back and you get a view...So its always a great way to start and end your daily commute
