Not sure whether I’m spoiled by Toronto/Vancouver Korean restaurants but I was quite disappointed with how they approached their dishes.

We ordered the jasmine infused gin cocktail. I haven’t had a drink that hit that hard for a cocktail before. Bad way to set the mood before the food came.

The beef tartare was ok, not many complains other than it being too sweet.

The soondubu had way too much dashi in the base which resulted in the soup tasting very fishy.

The bimbimbap came in a plastic bowl. For the price they charge, we definitely expected a stone bowl.

The Wagyu beef bowl was cooked to perfection though. I wish it had bigger portions considering that it’s $48.

I’m not sure why there was a 2 hour wait. This was not worth visiting in my opinion. Their presentation was on point which may have baited us in.

We come to Jeju every time we are in town and recommend it to all of our friends! The food is delicious, the staff are super friendly/helpful, and the drink list is great with an assortment of local wines/beer and unique Korean liqueurs. We usually splurge and get a few different mains to share, but they're big enough that one main would be enough food for one person.
The restaurant itself has a chill/modern vibe. Overall we highly recommend!

Big disappointment. The scallops had already been prepared in the dish for some time and had stuck to the plate. Seasoning tasted good, but the scallops had no flavor. Boiled ribs, nothing special. We didn't like the Kimchi. Spaghetti so so and sticky. Hard and burnt aubergines, only the taste of burnt was felt. Good wontons.

We came in for dinner this past Saturday and the place did not disappoint. We were torn between exploring the menu versus settling for a few dishes and that galbi that everyone talks about. In the end we decided to explore and ordered the

If I had room for more I would have kept going. The food was delicious. Staff were also attentive and helpful with the wine selections and some hints on what to expect. Worth every penny.

Awesome Korean food and super friendly staff with a down to earth feel. Nice selection of natural wine that pairs really well with the food. The staff were super friendly and provided me with lots of great recommendations and welcoming vibes!

Great quality Korean food at Tofino! Friendly service and fine ingredients! Beef tartare with the fresh bread made a perfect combo!

On the slightly more expensive side where portion size is small. Would be better if there are more options on the menu!

We stayed overnight in Tofino and chose this highly rated Korean restaurant near our hotel. The restaurant was decorated with many small lights outside, which looked especially warm on this cold night. The seating inside the restaurant was limited, but the decor was simple and beautiful. Their menu selection was very different from typical Korean restaurants, with few options to choose from. We ordered octopus, dumplings, and fried potato noodles. The plates and presentation were beautiful, the octopus was very fresh, but there were only a few pieces. The dumplings had too little filling, so the texture was not good. The ingredients in the fried noodles were abundant, and the noodles were chewy with delicious seasoning. Overall, we had a pleasant dining experience, but the price was high and the portions were small. However, if you're visiting this area, it's still worth a try.
