Suhang Restaurant

Long time no have Shanghai cuisine, so today just happened to be in Richmond. After checking some information, we chose this restaurant that was recommended as the best Shanghai cuisine restaurant of 2022. Parking at the entrance was relatively easy, and the restaurant itself wasn't particularly large, but it looked bright and clean. The menu had a variety of dishes, but they all seemed quite expensive. We ordered Braised Bamboo Shoots, Shredded Chicken & Vermicelli, and Pan-fry Shredded Pork with Sauce, served with crepes. Overall, we were quite disappointed. The bamboo shoots were only sweet, and the chicken had an unpleasant texture. Only the crepes and the flavor of the pork were decent. I wouldn't recommend this place.

This place is really a hidden gem and it's my new discovery and newfound love. Although it's quite far away from where I live, I have already come here three days in a row. The place is small but has a great vibe. The music, green plants, and colorful walls make it come alive. Especially the staff, who are all friendly. Their shrimp sandwiches are my favorite. The shrimp is fresh, and the smooth avocados and crispy grilled sourdough make a great combination for every bite. I'll try their salads and breakfast next time. It's worth traveling far to be here.
* updated:Yesterday, I came here around 3:30 pm and discovered that all the salads had been sold out. Today, I arrived earlier, at around 12:30 pm, but encountered a long line, and once again found that the salads had sold out. However, I'm grateful that one of the male staff members was willing to ask the chef to prepare a salad for me. He also informed me that I could call ahead to reserve a salad. So, if you're planning to visit, make sure to arrive early or call ahead since the place is quite popular and busy during lunch hours.
This restaurant has many branches. I quite like every one of them. Today is my first time at this new location and I'm a little excited but as I entered through the main entrance, I saw a large box. Passing by the counter, I could also see brooms placed beside it. This place is very spacious , and colorful umbrellas are on the ceiling in our area. There are also large murals on the walls. I ordered my favorite seafood pancakes and stir-fried noodles, and also ordered seafood tofu soup. The surface of the pancake is very crispy, and the inside is filled with delicious vegetables and seafood. The stir-fried sweet potato noodles are also flavourful and the portion size is good. However, the seafood tofu soup was served in a very small bowl, and the shrimp idid not look fresh and tasted very bad .The side dishes were very delicious and not too spicy. Overall, the dining experience was okay, but the music was too loud. Anyway, if you want to try Korean food, this place is still a good option.

I live near this place, so I've been coming here for the pre cooked to go and grocery for over ten years. The store is small, but most of daily necessities an be found here, and the weekly sale items always offer very good prices. There are many employees who will greet you proactively and offer help. However, there are two female employees in the coffee bar department who have been working there for a very long time. Whenever I see them, even though they are wearing masks, I feel like they are not looking at me and do not want to greet me. They seem very indifferent, which is really bad when I come to drink coffee early in the morning. I always say thank you politely, but they still don't respond much. Overall, most of the employees are enthusiastic, and the products are fresh and reasonably priced. I will still come here to consume frequently.

We stayed overnight in Tofino and chose this highly rated Korean restaurant near our hotel. The restaurant was decorated with many small lights outside, which looked especially warm on this cold night. The seating inside the restaurant was limited, but the decor was simple and beautiful. Their menu selection was very different from typical Korean restaurants, with few options to choose from. We ordered octopus, dumplings, and fried potato noodles. The plates and presentation were beautiful, the octopus was very fresh, but there were only a few pieces. The dumplings had too little filling, so the texture was not good. The ingredients in the fried noodles were abundant, and the noodles were chewy with delicious seasoning. Overall, we had a pleasant dining experience, but the price was high and the portions were small. However, if you're visiting this area, it's still worth a try.
