The staff inside works very slow, here you can see how crowded the people are here.

They're absolutely embarrassing. I bought a Tallinja card months ago and I never got it. I sent them emails, I went to the stand at the airport and I was always told it was arriving. I left Malta and I asked them to block the card as I wasnt in malta anymore and the card has my personal information on it. They just told me to track the card!!! Ridiculous, they should have tracked this card the first time I asked for it and I didnt even get a refund. I'd give them 0 stars if I could, Malta should have better transport.

As a tourist it was a little annoying that the ticket clerks let the locals cut in front of you to buy their tickets. Bus service overall was OK, and I actually found the Tallinja app helpful for tracking buses (though they did sometimes disappear from the page). It was about 50/50 whether your bus would have working air conditioning.

This is a busy area as all buses stop and converge here. There is an info booth if you don't know which bus to take where. The bus stops wrap around the corner as well. There are several food stalls and convenience stores selling coffee and baked goods.
The buses do give you change and the cost is €1.50

Totally enjoyed the bus service in Valletta the buses air con, the drivers are friendly and buses seem to run on time. Very easy access to bus terminal and staff are friendly for giving out correct info on your local bus journey. the station terminal is clean and tidy. the buses seem to run on time. Buy a special pass ticket that allows you so many travels to help you get round Malta. good service

The worst public transport I have ever seen. Buses are never on time, drive randomly. It’s common they don’t stop on the bus stops. You can easily wait for 1.5h hour just to be left on the stop by the driver. Also the drivers are most probably carefully selected only from the most rude people on the island. Add to that they drive like crazy and the most buses are too small and wrecked.
They will tell you that „it’s very difficult” to provide decent bus service on Malta but please. I live in the city with more inhabitants than this whole country. We also have narrow roads, traffic jams, protests, accidents, public events and other challenges yet it can all be coped with.
The lines are way too long with too few buses for the environment.

It’s a bit confusing at first, but you better strap in and get used to it quickly, as the most affordable way to get around Malta is by bus. The bus drivers are nice, just make sure you know which gate you are leaving from. Also, and this is crucial: the busses seem to follow their own schedule. One of my busses arrived a half hour after the scheduled time, and we were the first stop on the route. Time just moves differently over here.
