Disneyland

Good but outshined by PortAventura in Spain.everything here is very expensive and the genie pass is only good if you arrive early in the morning. Even then it still becomes obsolete later into the day

Overpriced, overpriced, overpriced! Genie Plus is a scam too. Basicly i paid $100 for a ride for four people to find out the next ride required another $100 if i did not want to wait 2 hours. SCAM!

The experience of Disney is always fun. However that Genie Plus is a complete rip off and a waste of money. It’s NOT a “fast pass” it’s a Reservation for only certain rides. You pay so much extra money to not have to stand in long lines only to have to still stand in line because you can only book 1 ride reservations every 2 hours. And the available times are later in the day. Disney should be more clear and set the right expectations to guest.

It was a magical place. Loved every minute in there. Bring proper shoes, water bottles and sun screen. Get a max pass, you’ll save los of time and you get photo pass too which was great. Wait times can be pretty inaccurate. Galaxy edge was really cool, the attention to detail is amazing!

The family loved California Adventure Park, the employees there greeted us with a warm smile and was friendly from the time we were there until we left. The staff at all the rides were friendly as well! On the Disneyland side...not so much. We weren’t even greeted at the gates. One of the staff at The Haunted Mansion attraction wasn’t very pleasant. Much rather spend my time at California Adventure Park side!

So I love all things Disney, but I was incredibly disappointed in my last visit to Disneyland! Of all the rides we went on, 80% of the shut down while we were standing in line. The haunted house, thunder mountain, Indiana Jones, space mountain, pirates of the Caribbean, small world was completely closed down etc. its disappointing to pay so much money to gain entrance and then stand in line for hour plus just to have the ride break down. We waited in line for space mountain for 53 minutes, we were almost to the cart and then they shut it down for 17 minutes. (See photo) we didn’t ever even get to go on it’s a small world or Indiana Jones. Not sure what or why all the break downs but it was very frustrating. I was also surprised with a lot of the staff. At Disneyworld every one is super helpful, but during this visit to Disneyland, they seemed “put out” to help us. I am giving it a 3 because it is Disneyland and again I love all things Disney, but trust me I am being very generous in this rating. If you are planing a vacation to California, go to six flags instead. And save your Disney experience for Florida!

I grew up going to Disneyland. I can remember mom dropping us off for the afternoon with 10.00 and a hand full of tickets. 50 years later, I still can't get enough. The Christmas season is more magical than usual and my favorite time of year there.
