Nice trail. The sound of the running creek is tranquil. This trail is great for kids, elders, and anyone new to trails.

My favorite entrance to Rock creek park. This small trail is cool in the summer, there are a few stone steps to cross the water which is fun.

Immersing yourself in the verdant Rock Creed Park. Looking up the sky, I almost forgot where I was. Five minute into the hike, the hustle and bustle from the Connecticut avenue disappears.

The trail guides you to the world of nature. Enjoy your hike!

Great trail - super sneaky entrance off of Connecticut Ave. - I've lived in DC for more than 20 years and never noticed the trailhead there until my run today. The first .4 miles of this trail from Connecticut on down towards the creek are a little steeper than you might expect, and a fair bit more technical too. Good portions of the trail in this area are ~18" wide with exposed/raised roots & lots of sizable rocks. Watch your footing and have fun!

Fantastic little trail! I've been all over Rock Creek Park many times, but I stumbled upon this trail today for the first time. It's a delight stepping on stones to cross the water (you cross the water 3 times on this little trail), and the view of the woods from the trail is really beautiful. It's a bit narrow at parts, so you really do have to step aside to let runners pass.
