The pool is pretty. The expense food trucks is on the street of the mall. The park do have trash cans. It is right in front of the Captial. Some ducks do hang out in the water

Beautiful Place, Well Maintained and Awesome Tours. Been here many times and every time goosebumps.

Docents are AWESOME ❤️, Well knowledgeable and Happy to Answer with a BIG smile even if they have different political views. Sticks to Facts.

Tips: If you want to Visit Library Of Congress, straight tunnel between Capitol Hill and Library and skip the Security line at Library.

Must Do if You are Touring Your Nation Capital.
Incredible place to be, got to know a lot about US history declaration Congress and how the entire system works. It's a paid tour, God will definitely help kids.

Unfortunately, many parts were closed due to having visitors, so the tour was short. The building has so much history and is amazing the artwork that is in it. The grounds are beautiful! The staff was absolutely wonderful and very informative!
The park has lots of seating and green grass and is near the Silver Line and Red Line DC MetroRail Stations.

This experience was the highlight of our trip outside of my best friend's graduation from Strayer University. It was truly a humbling moment as well as an educational one for the children

I have been here a lot of times for Washington DC visit and some events held here. I love this Square, at both ends of which can be seen the Memorial Monument Obelisk and the Capitol Hill, and also many many museums with free entry around it. I have brought my son to visit one of them - The National Air and Space Museum of the Smithsonian Institution nearby and he loves it so much. We are to visit more and more until all! We will come again!

Downtown DC, near White House. You can eat uostairs or downstairs. Just about everybody visits this McDonald's, even panhandlers.
Home to the most important and impressive iconic building in DC in every aspect and a symbol of unwavering American greatness. If you're checking in for the tour of the Capitol, I recommend signing up for the Senate tour and taking advantage of the other free tours being offered at the Capitol, they will give you in-depth and behind the scenes views that are priceless. Afterward, I recommend using the underground tunnel to tour the Library of Congress, it’s convenient and a time saver without having to go through the security lines again, especially if you have kids. FYI - The Library of Congress has extended hours on Thursday.

Had a good time with the tour. It's short but informative. The cafeteria had good food. It's pretty cool to walk the underground tunnel to the Library of Congress.

The reflection pool here in front of the capital has always been a great place to hang out after looking at the museums or federal buildings. Our kids always enjoy the water, and this time of year there are plenty of ducks and baby ducklings. It also offers a great view back down the mall and the capital building.

Farragut Square, located in the heart of Washington, D.C., is a vibrant and bustling public space that offers a delightful respite from the city's hustle and bustle. I had the pleasure of visiting Farragut Square yesterday and was instantly charmed by its welcoming atmosphere. The park's well-manicured lawns, shaded seating areas, and picturesque fountain create a tranquil oasis amidst the urban surroundings. It was a joy to see people enjoying their lunch breaks, playing chess, or simply taking a moment to relax in this green haven. The square's central location makes it easily accessible, and its proximity to various shops and restaurants adds to its allure. Whether you're seeking a peaceful retreat or a social gathering spot, Farragut Square is an ideal destination in Washington, D.C. Cycle stand also available and have spread around the state, you can boom the cycle from lyft and veo app.

Our nation's beautiful capital. It's well maintained and very well guarded. Once I saw it emerge from behind the trees, I was blown away. The architecture is magnificent. There's so much detail, and it's so perfect. Lot's of middle school trips came here, but they were, for the most part, respectful. I'd love to come back and visit again one day.

It was a beautiful sunny day to simply walk and take in the possibility of what has taken place in this building! Took some time to sit and listen to others walking around and spoke to a local. Inside was a treat as well. It was pretty busy with school groups and would like to return at a quieter time. All in all.... it was a profound day!🇺🇲

Too much traffic Sunday to go to the Tidal Basin and Haines Point to see the cherry blossoms, so I turned around and went up 395 through the tunnel to Capitol Hill. Wound up parking on the north side of the Senate Park on the street. Plenty of parking, few people, beautiful cherry trees, lots of benches. Nice alternative to the Tidal Basin. Across the street is the memorial apologizing for internment of Japanese Americans during WWII, well worth a visit.

Beautiful! Breath taking! History! Highly recommend taking the tour and then the cafeteria was nice as well. Staff was friendly and helpful. We got lost before our tour and ended in a area we were suppose to be, the police officers were very helpful to get us back to where we're supposed to be and even helped us get to the tour spot and put us first in line! Recommend going!
Had a beautiful stay here. I set up my camp. Had a minimal disturbance, besides people walking and talking
Really nice trail near busy Georgetown.

It’s lovely to walk through the trails and take a break from buses, stop lights and honking horns.

Even in the the winter time, it’s still a good path to walk. Dog friendly too.

It's a wonderful park. I was able to see the Japanese prime minister escorted by police in a bullet proof SUV.
This is closest point from where you can see the white house. Things to keep in mind, traffic , parking are a mess in DC. So plan ahead your visit.
I love the tour they have! It is so informative. Did quick less than an hour visit and will come back again next time.
Such a special spot. I volunteered to help maintain it.

Just reopened from an extensive renovation and looking FRESH!

Three water features:
1. I love the high-energy, aggressively barfing lion fountain up top
2. …but I equally love the slow going easy flowing lower level buttercup fountain. I might even like it more.
3. The duck toilet… whoops I mean reflecting pool. It’s always Listeria green, which provides a dramatic contrast to the clear water of the other two features.

All-in-all, lower senate park is a great place to walk through or hang out for a bit.

Really nice place. very crowded if its long weekend.try to visit in a regular days or weekend.
The gardens were beautiful, at least the ones that were in bloom. Hoping to get back to o see all of them in bloom.
I came across this park when I was walking by and I absolutely loved it. You can barely tell you’re in a city. The trees are so tall and beautiful and there are paved paths as well as trails. I loved it!
I loved this park. I visited during Cherry Blossom season and it was beautiful to walk the trials. There are no crowds and it was very nice.
Access is free, not to be confused with Dumbarton Gardens, which does require buying tickets.
Access to the park (free) is not very clearly demarcated, it is through a downhill entrance that has a barrier to prevent the entry of vehicles.
It is on R street, and the entrance can be found in Gmaps as Lovers Lane.
Easy to find parking on the street, allowed for 2 hours.

Plan for at least one day to tour around all the museums and memorial buildings. Or just sunbathe at the lush lawns. When you are hungry, you can buy any kind of food since there are food trucks lining on two streets in the Union Square.

But parking could be a big problem. We parked at Reach at JFK Center and walked over.

Quiet small park in the middle of DC between Union Station and the Capitol Building. Beautiful trees and plump friendly squirrels.
Absolutely loved this park. Visited during the Cherry Blossom season and was beautiful. No crowds and was really pleasant. Booked the tickets online and was really worth it.

Despite being located in between the U.S. Capitol and Union Station, two places frequented by tourists, Upper and Lower Senate Park is a locals' park. It's tiered with plenty of trees, benches, green areas and even a few historical markers. It's such a respite from the hustle and bustle of the city. Also, the cherry blossoms each spring are one of the best lesser known places to see the pink blossoms.
Peaceful as it can be considering where it is. Friendly squirrels and birds. It's a little park.

KenEK5!
Great location on the Waterfront in Southwest Washington DC. Lots of eating choices, recreational activities or just sightseeing. Several hotels, a fish market, and has several piers that are transformed into performance stages during festivals, concerts, and other special events.
Wow, this place is so lovely! I spent a night at the Wharf International and we loved the a little walk around the District Square. There’s plenty of eating options (outdoors too!) and nice little boardwalk area where no cars allowed. A quick walk to Jessie’s Seafood for fresh seafood too! Kids loved the ice rink and an outdoor movie theater.
Relaxing place to walk around and chill. Everything close by, grab a bite and drinks on the waterfront.

Gorgeous garden to visit. Staff were friendly and helpful getting us into the garden with a map. We enjoyed it very much and will come back next year when roses in rose garden bloom.
Enjoyed swinging by the waterfront. It was pretty crowded even on a weekday evening.

After a long renovation and closure that pre-dated the pandemic, Upper Senate park has re-opened! As of 3/26, the fountain was not yet running, and access was only from the south, east, and west, but it is glorious!
Near this place there are some old cars!!!
Picturesque outdoor area, walking, sitting, eateries, hotel, paid parking, cafes, accessible to express way, and view across Potomac river.
In Kalorama in Northwest D.C. is a tiny park with a statue of Robert Emmet, an Irish patriot inspired by the American Revolution. A sign in the park explains the significance and there's a bench to enjoy the green space.

As I've written in my other reviews of the neighborhood, it doesn't cut it to just walk up to the Capitol building and take a pic and go. The whole area is gorgeous and splattered with little places to go see. One such is the Senate park. In particular, there's an absolutely fantastic - relatively lesser known - fountain here called the Senate Fountain. It's right on your way to the Capitol. Surprisingly, many people miss it. So take a pause. Look at this gorgeous structure!

It should be on your holiday cards!
Wow... this place does turn around. It used to be just a fish market, now... another waterfront attraction.

A lovely park in the middle of DC!! This place is a hidden gem. We went to see the cherry blossoms this year, away from the tidal basin. It was really nice and peaceful and there's a lot to explore.

You aren't allowed food and drinks in there, and there is a $10 ticket to be there. It has one of those English garden kind of spot. I'm sure they do a lot of event organization there, like wedding and parties.

It also has another park behind it which is free of cost.. it's more like a backyard to the Clinton's. Actually that's the spot Hillary Clinton was spotted walking the morning after the election, her photo trended with a dog walker there 😊!

Beautiful, open air park and square in the heart of downtown DC just blocks from Dupont Circle and the White House. The square is named after Civil War Admiral David Farragut who helped command key naval victories across battles in the Atlantic and New Orleans. During the day, it’s filled with tourists and locals alike, especially near lunchtime for the flurry of food trucks. Stop by in the summer to catch a movie on Friday evenings or some midday yoga as sponsored by the Golden Triangle. And during the springtime, be sure to see the beautiful tulips on the south side of the square.

Very nice area, close to all the other monuments. A wedding was taking place here as I passed by.
A very nice place to reflect and take in the sites. We often have lunch there. Its tucked away right in plain view, most people just drive by. It's worth the stop.
Great little memorial tucked away in Mass Avenue! Have a seat & watch sights on Embassy Row.
It's beautiful now that construction is done, but parking just to get to the wharf is ridiculous! Paying to park makes me not want to go back.
