I spent a year complaining about the noise from my neighbor upstairs. He woke up every night from 2 am to go to work. I could hear everything. It was horrible to sleep. Haseeb (the agent) couldn’t care less. I felt tired of complaining and started going to my best friend’s house to sleep on the weekend.

Love this place, when we moved in a few years ago as renters we LOVED it, now a few years later, we have a massive hole in our daughters ceiling from the upstairs neighbor place flooding 2 MONTHS AGO!! 2 MONTHS AGO!! And whoever answers their phones in the office should work for the post office, wow...

A hidden gem in the area. My building faces the park and is right next to the metro - which makes it incredibly quiet but super convenient. Unlike most modern apartments and condos, these units do not feel cramped - with the older architecture you get really a spacious layout with high ceilings. Wide streets with older trees. Running trails. Pool, parking, amenities, tennis courts - all included. Mixed community of older and younger crowd, retirees and young professionals, kids and families.

On the con side, the office staff are super nice but things are slightly disorganized at times. The unit walls are thin so you can hear your neighbors.

Very happy I found a lovely unit here!

24 hour brownouts are common. In the last 12 months, the basement of my building has flooded with raw sewage twice. Each time they put up large blower fans (several hours afterward) to evaporate the waste but they did not use bleach. So anyone with items in storage had to throw away anything touching the floor. Management could not be reached for explanation. The laundry card machines take money but don't always credit your card so you lose money half the time. There are NO amenities other than a couple tennis courts and pools. Residents with stickers regularly have their cars towed on a random basis but cars without stickers get left alone. Management cannot handle the very simplest most basic tasks (but they're very good at socializing). You will note the 5 star reviews are from people who don't even live her (unbelievably) or people who have been here a year or less. That should tell you something. Oh, there is a Board of Directors that doesn't actually affect any change. It's some sort of image/reputation thing where they vote on meaningless things like whether to keep the pools open an extra day at the end of the season. Personally I would like my electrical and plumbing to actually work without issue.

I visit this place often to take walks on its tree lines streets and have many friends who live here and love it! It's right next to the Metro, but still has a "naturesque" feel. The neighborhood is packed with NIH/Walter Reed employees because of the easy commute. It also has many families with young children-- lots of opportunities for great play dates. Nice tot playgrounds, pool and proximity to Rock Creek Trail. Main attraction is the great location and pretty setting if you are a nature lover.

Very economical rents and very spacious homes. Value for money. Big swimming pool. Very close to metro. Recently there are smoking issues in the apartment. if a neighbor smokes you get the smoke smell badly in your place especially the marjuana. Also the heat and air condition is centrally controlled and turned up. so there will be few days in the year when you would need space heater and fans. neighbors are to themselves and are mostly old who mind their business. not very family and kid friendly but convenience to metro and economical rents are best part. was a resident for five years.

Gorgeous community. 3min walk to metro station and 8 min walk to Rock Creek Park Trail. Can't beat the convenience and calm, quiet, beauty of living here. Most of my neighbors have been here for more than 20 years for the same reasons: great location in the middle of everything yet in a wooded park like setting.
