This is a very nice sculpture of Louis Riel. There's plenty of space to sit down and relax. It's at close walking distance from the Forks and right in front the Legislative building. Go check out the fountain as well, it's a perfect spot on a hot summer day.

Good place to hang around with family and friends to relax during summer and fall time . Lots of lawns to rest and have great sunbathing time 🌞. The red river nearby gives us great views of the nature

Nice place to seat and relax, enjoying the breeze of the fountain and good view of the Golden Boy and river.

The Louis Riel sculpture on the south side of the Manitoba Legislative Building is an important, larger-than-life tribute to the father of the Métis Nation. This life-like figure replaced an earlier statue by franco-manitobain artist and architect, Étienne Gaboury( gee I hope I have that right). The statue now sits on the grounds of the Université-de-Saint-Boniface. Always controversial, it depicts Gaboury as a twisted, tormented figure. A bust of Louis Riel also sits outside the Musé-Saint-Boniface.
