Serene surroundings , perfect for an evening walk!

Just a park - nice to run round, but frequently dogs of leash & uncontrolled

Has a Trail that leads straight to the tennis courts 🎾

Who even knew this place was here? Great natural trails. You don't feel like you're walking through someone's back yard. Great place for a dog walk!!

Hidden in Mclean neighborhood (both entrances are difficult to see from the car). Lots of POISON IVY. Narrow paths. Ran into owners of UNLEASHED DOGS. I've been to many parks in Northern Virginia neighborhoods over the years. I don't plan to return here.

The amazing thing about Haycock Longfellow Park is how completely isolated it feels even though it's in the middle of suburbia. With one of the tallest canopies of any public park in the region, The woods are cool and dark even in the midst of summer.
It's possible to get lost in these giant woods, and then come out at an elementary school playground, or middle school basketball courts, or even an FAA air traffic control facility. A good place for a quiet wander and an escape from the city.

A nice, hidden gem of a park in a quiet neighborhood.
