Hey with patience- because they help a lot of people everyday - they too are good

The people that work or volunteer there are polite kind and very helpful.

The church is very beautiful, and the service is a pretty standard, but nice, service that you'd expect in a liturgical church. I went a few times last year for Holy Week. I was raised Catholic, not Presbyterian, but was looking for a diverse, liberally-minded liturgical church. I liked how they have a ministry for the unhoused, so I decided to try them out.
Although I did find the service meaningful and familiar, there doesn't seem to be a "welcome wagon." Nobody greeted me until I was on the elevator headed back to the parking lot. There isn't any kind of social hour after service, though there was one before the ecumenical Palm Sunday procession. People were clustered with family or other folks they knew, though. So I was alone in a crowd of people.
Also, during Lent, a lot of the events were at people's homes, and it appeared you had to be a member to be able to go. So I wasn't sure how I, as a visitor, could begin to enter into the social life of the church. Perhaps there's a way, but again, no "welcome wagon" to help direct me. It also wasn't as diverse as it looked in photos I saw online.
If you're downtown and looking for a pretty, mainline liberal Protestant church to attend one Sunday, it's worth checking out, but Central didn't meet my needs.

Downtown across from the state capitol. So it's right in the heart of the city. Beautiful, historic space. Extensive ministry to poor and homeless.

We went to see Callie Day performance with the GSU choir. Wonderful, wonderful experience.
We arrived early, and the staff was amazing, letting us get inside and choose our seats.
Very good historical venue.
Love it! π
Callie Day was an amazing singer and very humble she was taking pics with the public.
3 different choirs joined the presentation.
All of them did a great job and love the fact that Ms Day took control of the rehearsal and demands "her" ways. She is great performing and worshipping the Lord, and she encouraged the public to really let go and join the singing.
