Minneapolis Skyway

Some skyways are open, yet, good luck getting them all to be open on the weekends! Frustrating experience.

After our personal experience: I feel it should be considered as an option by every metro area

Love how it connects everything so well. It’s way safer than just walking on the sidewalks.

The skyway used to be open 7 days a week and until 10pm during the week. Since COVID and the riots, many skyways are completely closed. Most are no longer open on the weekends and close at 6pm during the week. Traveling across the city during the winter is much colder now. Brrrr. Each trip back to the city gets more disappointing. Get it together Minneapolis!

Great that it exists but the wayfinding is terrible. Barely any maps, portions closed, no signage, no access doors. Forget about using it on weekends. Disappointing. Rochester's is much better about signage and being open.

A nice, warm and safe place in downtown Minneapolis which connects most major offices, hotels and cultural institutions. It comes in handy in cold and inclement weather.

There are amazing parts of the skywalk like the wall with old photos of Minneapolis with some history. There are also some parts of the skywalk that are somewhat with low maintenance.
