Inn at the Waterpark

I would recommend this hotel for the Galveston cruise. We went on a carnival cruise and we came from the Dallas area so we came a day before and stayed the night here. It was clean and great customer service!

If you have a pet, Run. They told me they were pet friendly and their policy was changed the day we all arrive. The front desk was very unfriendly, not helpful at all. The left side of the building was burned down. They didn't even tell us about all the debree hanging about from the damage, could've hurt someone. Pool was partly green and very small. It even smelt of suut and mildew.

We took our entire Youth group from Joplin in June and stayed at this hotel. 5 stars is not enough! They deserve 10! Friendly staff! The rooms were so big and clean! The double sinks are amazing!!! Will definitely make this hotel “our place” when we come to Galveston! Already recommended family to stay here!

We really enjoyed our stay here! The staff was really friendly and helpful for anything we asked of them! The have a great mini golf course which we enjoyed and a nice pool! The rooms were really clean and the housekeeping definitely cleaned the rooms well. We will be coming back for future Galveston trips. (One side is still burned down but they have 2 other sides that are perfect, and they will be rebuilding the burnt side soon according to staff)

When arrival front desk was not friendly the entire stay. The building was in construction and was not secured safely around the premises. The rooms were filthy and felt so sticky in the AC wasn’t even working properly. Pool was super small. The gym was just a spare room with a treadmill. I had to ask front staff and the janitor for the spare roll out bed more then 6x, it took them the entire day to get the bed out for us. ONLY thing that was amazing was the location. Your close to the beach and restaurants. If staffs where more friendly and helpful we would have a better experience.

Room was clean and comfortable. Nice proximity to the beach.
The "continental" breakfast was very disappointing 😞 the fruit was not at all fresh, in fact it was on the verge of rotten.
Upon asking for extra towels I was told that housekeeping would need to bring them. Even though I told them we would be napping and would just get them later they still knocked on the door (do not disturb sign was out), waking us! Not happy about that!

The mattress was comfortable. We arrived at night so burnt stuff was not visible. In the morning looked. Its no issue. It burnt. Bagel, toast, fruit and quite a few other quick options (self serve). Nice security guard in marked car in patrolling parking lot. I used a company called Port Parking. TOO easy going and coming. Just follow instructions and take a picture of your stub.
