Omg! It was an amazing experience and I got to check it off my bucket list!! Make sure you get early tickets tho. The wait to board to go to the Statue was long and you have to stand in the sun for long periods of time. Also make sure you wear deodorant and have some spray for people that decide they don’t like to wear it.
Other than that Ellis Island and the Statue was beautiful.
If you go up to the crown: WARNING!! - steps are VERY TIGHT! But beautiful view

We booked the lo visit the crown months before arriving as we knew they had limited daily tickets and sell up fast. Please buy months before visiting it’s about £23.
We visited in May and the only big queues were getting through security then waiting to be boarded. Once in the island we didn’t encounter any queues and walked the whole island and walked all the way up to the top of the crow lyn which was worth every step. Doing this excursion can take a good 5hrs of your day up so plan appropriately so it doesn’t take up all your day.
We also visited the museum and gift shop which are also a good touch and get some souvenirs to take home.

Inspirational. Went through Liberty Park in Jersey. Loved Liberty Park, Ellis Island, and of course Lady Liberty. A must see, pictures do not do this place any justice! Plan ahead if you want to learn the amazing history. Get there early because it is super popular! Start at Ellis Island and head to the theater..... Enjoy!

Visited the Lady Liberty on a Sunday morning. We took the Liberty cruise through NY Experience (lowest price in the market) with pedestal access. We boarded from New York (Battery park) by passing throuh their airport grade security checkup.

The speed of the security is fast enough and we took around 10 minutes on the line to get through. The cruise was very crowded but there was sufficient safety instruments.

We landed on the Liberty island at first and spent almost 2 hours on it. There's generous amount of spots where you can take brilliant photos with the statue. The upper surface of the pedestal isn't such a good place for photos though. We would recommend taking them from the base of the pedestal.

There's a restaurant at the island which stays very crowded and wait time in the queue is 30 minutes (on average). You also get couple of souvenir shops, but found them very expensive.

I really loved it. I bought tickets for a pedestal view and it's really a unique view where only people that purchased tickets can go.

The boat ride is fun and you can also go to Ellis island. There's also a little museum close to the statue that is very educational and explains the history of the landmark.

Nothing much to say but wow and I really recommend going on the island and not using the free ferry boat because you're too far away and the experience is very different!!

An impressive and a must see iconic structure. Two informative museums on the island. An amazing view from the pedestal, if you wish to go inside the statue, take the stairs, long wait times for the elevator. Need to book few months ahead of time for crown.

Great ferry ride (a little snack bar is on board ferry), helpful crew on the island. Lots of parking at New Jersey port entrance, the trip was a lot fun and a must visit in a lifetime!

The statue of liberty is one of the must-sees . I was taken back by how Eco friendly this place is. They had recycling bins and compost bins next to the trashcan in the eating area, which I loved because of the fact that so many people track here on a daily basis. I must say it is a bit of a workout if you are up for the walk up however you don't have to walk all the way, you can take the elevator. There is a lot to see while visiting the statue as well as two areas to learn about the history and the construction of it. They have a small learning exhibit in the statue and a building on the other side. If you are hungry I would highly recommend going to the cafe. Not only will your food be fresh but it will be made to order. They have vegan, vegetarian and gluten free options. Their gluten free bread was super soft and tasted great. They have a lot of healthy food items. They had sandwiches, fresh fruit, pasta salad, regular salads and things to drink. They also had amazing customers survive.
