We visited pizza posto whilst in Edinburgh and were not disappointed. The welcome was excellent and the staff so friendly. The pizza was lovely and fresh and very delicious. The atmosphere was really nice and the restaurant is well laid out, light and spacious. Would definitely recommend a visit, we felt very looked after.
Amazing pizzas, a lot of options to choose from. Had a tiramisu for dessert I'd recommend. We were there at 3 pm, the music was Italian but not kitsch, very cosy.
The only thing was: the service started off nice, but it felt a bit rushed. The pizza came quite fast, which was super nice but when we finished them, my friend still had her glass of wine half full when they came 2-3 times to ask if we wanted anything else, no time to digest between the main and dessert. I've ordered the dessert but as soon as I was done, they came again repeatedly. I would understand if it was during busy hours, but there were 4-5 empty tables around us, so we couldn't really understand the rush. We stayed a total of 2 hours, which I don't think is unreasonable.
At some point, they asked if we were ready for the bill, we said yes, my friend only had to go to the bathroom first and they didn't wait for her to come back to come with the card machine.
We had a 3,45£ service charge (it's basically them forcing us to tip when it's already covered by the initial price), which we did not complain about but when they came back with our change, they gave the wrong amount. They apologised greatly when we pointed it out and gave the correct change, but this whole experience made us leave on a slightly bad note, which is a shame considering the food and the ambience were so good.

Excellent pizza served by friendly Italians. True Neapolitan pizza with authentic flavours. Loved the focaccia with burrata as well. The Mozarella fingers are also big and tasty, highly recommended! There is lots of space to accommodate groups and families, and a cute Aperol lounge area for private parties
Visited Pizza Posto with my family after hearing that it was not only the best pizzeria in Edinburgh but one of the best in the whole United Kingdom. As an Italian myself, I can confirm that their reputation is absolutely deserved.
Pizza dough was fantastic, a delicious combination of chewyness and softness. Both side dishes we ordered were also very tasty and true to tradition. The menu had plenty of options, you’d be hard pressed not to find something to love. Staff was incredibly friendly and polite, always making sure that our needs were met and even helping in choosing what to order when we were stunned by the number of options. Service was very fast too, we waited less than 15 minutes for 2 pizzas and 2 sides on a semi-packed Friday evening.
Prices were very fair, especially considering the fantastic location, right in front of the Edinburgh Festival Theatre and barely a 5 minute walk from the National Museum of Scotland. There are food chains like Pizza Hut and Pizza Express which serve a significantly worse product at about the same price, I think that’s all I need to say on the matter.
I lived in Italy for 24 years before moving to Edinburgh and I can safely say that this place would outclass most pizzerias I’ve visited back home. That’s high praise but it’s absolutely warranted. If anybody ever asks me what’s the best pizza in the city, I know for a fact where I’ll point them towards.

The pizza is always great, probably some of the best in Edinburgh, but I’m unsure why management think it’s acceptable to scream and shout at other staff and customers. Was an absurd, almost comedic thing to witness. We found it quite funny at first, but after a while it was no fun watching staff being treated terribly in the workplace. Please try bring your treatment of staff and customers in line with the quality of your pizza.
This place was recommended to us and now we know why. The pizza dough was exceptional--crisp outside, soft and chewy inside! The staff were very friendly and the service was pronto. Always a good sign being greeted at the door by an Italian. We can't say enough good things about both the wonderful and authentic food, and the friendly service we enjoyed at Pizza Posto!
Delicious fresh pizza. We had sides of fries, which were beautifully seasoned, garlic pizza bread, which was full of flavour, and a fresh side salad. Atmosphere was really good, very busy so I'd recommend booking, and lovely decor.

However, we were told the table would only be one minute but we were waiting for almost 10 minutes whilst at least three other tables were seated before us. When we were seated there was no apology for our wait.
