Great place to see and appreciate the Brooklyn Bridge, and even the Manhattan Bridge; also a cool vista of Manhattan

Very good view on the Manhattan skyline
I had to come here for a project on Walt Whitman. It took me 20 minutes to find this place, and I was surprised to see that the fence that surrounds the lookout is etched with words from his famous poem "Crossing the Brooklyn Ferry." These words were meant for us, and they add to the beauty of this spot. I hope that when you visit, you will notice these words and allow them to enhance your experience of this historic location.
One of the best spots to view the Brooklyn Bridge, especially at sunset! There are some great spots just north of here just on the other side of the bridge.
Gorgeous views of New York from this lookout. Took us about 20 minutes to walk here from New York. There is a pizza place across the street had great slices
Had to come here for a project on Walt Whitman. Took me a good 20 min to find this place, and little did I know words from Walt Whitman’s famous poem “Crossing the Brooklyn Ferry” are etched into the very fence that surrounds the lookout. Those words were meant for us and it just adds to the beauty that envelops this particular spot. Maybe when you visit, you will notice the words and allow it to enhance your experience and the beauty of this historic location.
