Don Taco

Friendly staff. The happy hour for $3 margs + $1 flavorings is amazing. Guacamole was delicious. Tacos were a little pricey but the flavors were good. Tres Leches Dessert was pretty good as well. Upstairs and downstairs section.

I loved the food, service and atmosphere of Don Taco with my family of eight. It was my first time here and I had chips, cheese dip and salsa… so fresh and the cheese dip was amazing!!! I ordered them cauliflower tempura and shrimp tacos and they were both delicious along with the margarita. Will definitely be back next time I’m in town.

The people were nice and the food was good! I highly recommend you give this place a try and $4.50 a taco is a decent price.

Had a quick bite and a drink while visiting Alexandria. Tacos were amazing, and very delicious. Margaritas was also very tasty. The staff meet me friendly and the order was ready quickly. I will definitely visit them next time.

From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted by friendly staff who generally seem pleased to see you.

We sat downstairs in a booth next to the bar so it was easy to catch our waitress or bartender whenever we needed something. Food also came out really quickly which didn’t hurt either!

In terms of the food, I thought it was some of the higher quality ingredients and flavors I have had in the area. Compared to SoCal Mexican food, I don’t think this place is too far off. Especially with the surf and turf burrito which reminded me of a Sonoran Burrito I had in LA.

The plantains and the white sauce they came with are a must have in my opinion. Super underrated menu item. Chips and queso were also really creamy and saucy which we almost filled up on before our main dishes came!

Drink selection is great and would definitely recommend this as a fantastic place to get a nice buzz on with your friends.

I’ve had tacos all over the world and this is absolutely my favorite. Super clean with a very attentive staff. If your haven’t dined at Don Taco what are you waiting for? Alexandria Va is the best.

The food is flavorful my only gripe is that food temp wise for my two tacos (bulgogi & the chuck) and burrito(D.T special, a bit salty) it could've been hotter when coming out(8/10 for my food). My friend got the rice bowl with steak(wished the steak was medium/medium well) loved the bowl and would give it a (9/10) as for the corn its good but definitely on the watery side for having mexican corn. And stated the pineapple margarita tasted like juice. Atmosphere was nice, booth seats a little low but comfy for my liking. Service was pretty good. I will come back to try more in the future.
