We had a good experience in this Consulate. Our appointments it was on a Thursday between 11:00 am to 12:00 . The people there were very nice and the only negative thing it was not fast, it takes some time for I had my Mexican visa and it wasn’t crowded at all, but besides that everything was good! No complaints!

Worst consulate ever. I booked my vacation 1.5 month ago, but there is no way to take visa appointment. Consulate doesn’t pick calls or respond to email. Website doesn’t show availability, I had a small hope that website showing Aug 1st at 10 am will release new appointments but while booking all gone :( it’s within secs. Never gonna ever will go Mexico again.

Ok to make your time perfect you must finesse the following:
--Get your documents right. They are very specific online in their website about what docs and proof to bring
--Hire parking online. We park for 5 bucks for 7 hours.
--When you get there, be polite like talking to someone you know so highly. This is an authoritarian culture.
--One negative caveat is that because it is authoritarian, change is very difficult so they operate by status quo meaning something can be improved like pages in instruction a size of a dust mite font, so be prepared to bend backwards to the system that is resistant to progress. Your feedback will be rejected even if it's positive. Yes, it can be suffocating, but think of the good nutritious food you eat when you get there. Understand that Mexico is still is a dominant Spanish Arab culture. So be open minded and tread gently. Good luck and enjoy your trip!

I didn’t know I had to make an appointment, which is ok I don’t mind having to come back. The lady that was at the front desk at the time was rude. My Spanish isn’t exactly perfect but she didn’t have to roll her eyes and come off as if it was a big annoyance. If she could understand English then what was the big deal? Plus her English was terrible! How dare you judge me lady! 2nd visit new front desk employee was super nice, wonderful, polite and was patient with me. The process to get my passport was easy and fast. Parking is always terrible and expensive what else do you expect from DC.

They are very professional. When I read comments about how they don't help, it's simply because people do not come in with the correct documentation . People should take the initiative to do research on their own on what they need or call in advance so they can do what they came to do. I have been here on several occasions for different things. I have always been treated with respect and the staff is very amicable.
