The setting is nice but the fishing was a little slow on the day I was there.

I went last year for the first time and couldn't find the fishery to start with. The single track road seems to come to the end where the tarmac changes to what looks like block paving which I assumed was a private drive. It wasn't, the entrance to the fishery was off that road but there isn't any signage to tell you where it is despite it being just the other side of the trees lining the road. The only sign for the fishery is on a gate but it's only visible on the way out!

There are no facilities there, no toilets, absolutely nothing.

The only person I saw from the fishery was there before our contest selling pellets from the back of a van.

On the Pluss side there were some decent sized fish caught during the contest.

Not far from Grimley village but you need to head for The Camp public house not the village center.
Drive past the pub entrance (on left) and there is a entrance/gate on your right to the fishery. The fishery has 2 nice size lakes with adequate spacing between each peg.
There is a board for bait bans and rules but board is confusing and out of date as some things have changed.
Eg feeder now allowed.
Meat banned.
I beleve method is allowed using his pellets.
SO SUGGEST YOU CHECK THE RULES WITH THE OWNER BEFORE YOU FISH.
Not fishing as good a previous years
used to produce match weights in the 200lb + ,the weights are well down now but still plenty of carp bream roach perch eels to catch.
Pleasure fishing now allowed.
But best to phone to check first before you set out due to contests most weekends and i belive they do a mid week contest.
Pellets sold by owner on the bank.
Was £1a pint last time i went.
Please note bad points. no cafe, no toilets, and only pellets sold there.
