Burnaby Mountain Conservation Area

Beautiful place to watch sunset. Great place for picnic, well-maintained park with beautiful landscapes!

I visited the Burnaby Mountain Conservation Area with my family this weekend and we had a wonderful time. The park is very well-maintained and has plenty of parking spaces. We enjoyed the panoramic views of the city and the mountains from the lookout point. We also had a picnic at the Centennial Rose Garden, which was very peaceful and relaxing. The roses were in full bloom and smelled amazing. We then explored some of the forested trails, which were easy to moderate in difficulty and had clear signs and maps. We saw some wildlife, such as deer, squirrels, and birds, along the way. We also admired the eco-sculptures, which are made of plants and depict different animals and characters. They were very creative and impressive. The highlight of our visit was the Playground of the Gods, which is a collection of wooden sculptures that represent the Japanese myth of the creation of the world. They were very majestic and fascinating. We learned a lot about the history and culture of Japan from the information boards. We spent about four hours at the park and we felt very refreshed and rejuvenated. We would definitely recommend this park to anyone who loves nature and art. It is a great place to visit for all ages and interests.

Great view of the city and mountains. A peaceful spot to go for a picnic. Kids friendly and has a play area. Also, there are few trails around to go for a quick hike. Amazing roses and flowers can be seen during the summer.

Beautiful place to go and observe sunrise / sunset of the Downtown Vancouver Skyline from afar. You can see the entire mountain range, North Vancouver, Burnaby, even parts of Richmond from up here. Lots of good vibes all around for photography.

This seems to be a popular area for visitors and local residents. The wooden sculpture created by the Japanese sculptors is very interesting. Make sure you read the information on the plaques.

Took the dogs for a great little hike. They were so busy sniffing around and playing in the grass. The trails are great with lots of downhill and uphill spots to work your legs. Cute little sitting spots to have a snack and some beverages while watching others.
