Small attraction but lovely all the same. Really friendly lady on the desk. Free entry but gladly gave a donation due to her knowledge and lovely personality

Absolutely stunning building. Very informative and amazing history of Mary Queen of Scots. I was very happy to make a donation as it's free. It's had a makeover since the last time I visited and we spent a good hour and a half looking around. The gardens are beautiful too. Good little shop as well and very friendly lady at reception. Highly recommended.

Free to enter, they ask for a donation if possible. A little bit of hidden history here. A must for histotorians. Free parking in the town along with clean toilets

Interesting 30 minutes visiting the house and grounds. Reads a bit like a soap opera. Plenty detail on her life and relationships with relevant others. Free to enter but donations welcome.

Well worth a visit. Free entry as charity based, so make sure you have a donation ready. Watch your head on the small doorways!

Brilliant!!! Marys story told whilst walking around the rooms in this beautiful house. Her final letter, her demise and her beautiful tribute upstairs. Definitely worth a visit, lovely gardens with pear trees. Shop available.
