Anjappar Chettinad Restaurant

The dining experience fell short as the food lacked any discernible flavors, and the service was subpar. Despite being the sole customers, the dosa arrived cold. On a positive note, the filter coffee stood out as a highlight.

I don't have complaints on taste but their packaging for soup.look at the pic which had mutton soup. This is very hazardous for health. How can someone consume the food with these kind of packaging?

The guys managing this place in Mississauga and also the chef/s making food here needs to make a visit to Tamil Nadu to know how true Chettinad style food tastes. Just by mixing some pasted and masala don’t make a Chettinad style biryani.

Looks like there is a change in chefs here. They mentioned mutton sukka biryani to be mild but was extremely spicy (I have tasted the mild biryanis in Canada and know what’s mild spice here). They were not ready to take feedback and I had to go and speak with the Manager after asking the waiter staff repeatedly reg food taste and spice.

Giving two star ⭐️ because their Chicken lollipop and Chicken wings were good. Overall not a good experience n waste of money, even thou the occasion was for birthday dinner.

I've been to the Scarborough location many times but I only recently started coming to the Mississauga location. The food seems to be of the same quality here, maybe a little better than in Scarborough. Everything was tasty and well seasoned but I'm a little disappointed because the were hairs on multiple plates that we ate from (shown in one of the pictures). This has happened on multiple occasions as the plates and cutlery at the restaurant don't always seem to be cleaned properly. Other than that, the atmosphere was nice and all the servers were friendly. The prices seemed reasonable and I would still go back to this location again, hopefully the plates are cleaner next time lol.

Ambiance was shady , food was average .
Got Idli , mysore masala dosa , mushroom masala dosa and Kara dosa . Service was fast .

Had mutton curry meals , veg meals , chicken biriyani , chicken lollipop. We used to dine in at anjappar bangalore , and anjappar Mississauga could maintain the same taste and quality like anjappar Bangalore. Nice atmosphere and good service too .

We had the mutton chukka meals, chicken lollipop for appetizers and also a naattu kozhi biryani. All the dishes were delicious. I would reduce one star only because I feel the menu pricing is not justified for the interior atmosphere.

The host was very welcoming and prompt with the service!

The food was good for the offerings in place! Came out quick and hot as well! The parotha was hot and fluffy and very filling! Chettinad chicken curry was the go to meal and it hit the spot! Chicken was well cooked and seasoned to perfection!

Definitely a place to go if you’re looking for some South Indian flavour.
