A definite place to visit if you want to see the modernist arts of the 20th Century. You start off in the beautiful sculpture garden with art dotted around to snap yourself with, then enter into the gallery with modernist art that looks out in to the river with gondolas passing by. On the other side of the garden sits the Marcel Duchamp gallery which I didn’t get time to see but will be back for more… absolutely wonderful art experience in a gorgeous setting surrounded by art shops of canvas’ & textiles… a must see.

A very interesting place with some great modern artwork and sculptures outside. Lots of famous artists' work here. Book in advance to avoid waiting for ages to buy tickets.

Unavoidable for modern arts. The collection is as impressive as the place. Crowded and a bit expensive but worth the visit if you want something refreshing. You’ll see as many sculptures as paintings. The garden and terrace on the water are a must to take a rest and chill.

This collection is absolutely amazing. It has works of art from world-famous artists, as you would imagine, and they do not disappoint. This year (2023) is the 50th anniversary of Pablo Picasso's death, so it had on display all his paintings (7 that I could count). A highlight is Picasso's "The Poet," which is widely regarded as his best work. Apart from Picasso, the collection features many surrealist, abstract, minimalist, and expressionist artists (ex. Jackson Pollock, Salvador Dali), so if you're looking for Venetian Rennasciance art, this is the wrong museum. But if you're looking for the modern masters, this is perfect. The collection also features many amazing painters heavily that aren't as famous as the others, and this acts as a wonderful introduction to them. My one complaint is that in some rooms the light will create a glare on some paintings' display glass, but that doesn't take away much from the experience. Overall, this is a very large museum that you could find yourself staying for hours in, immersed in truly mind-blowing artistic talent.
