Lovely used bookstore in Georgetown. Friendly staff who are knowledgeable about the range of books offered across the store. Also can find other surprises like old postcards and a few random cds.

Run by lovely older volunteers and the books are cheap

Wonderful little bookstore where I found some gems. I left with western fiction, historical fiction, nonfiction and memoir books. Some well-known authors and others I have not heard of before. Knowledgeable volunteer staff.

Sorry for my previous review. I did not find anything that could fit my views, but the staff is awesome and there is really a TON of stuff. Definitely check it out

Lots of good finds in here! Unfortunately I didn’t purchase anything but even looking inside was a treat. The books are in extremely good condition and the store is nicely laid out. The women working were very cautious with COVID - much appreciated. They ensured that each customer apply hand sanitizer via the sanitizing station upon entry of the store. Super cute & truly you can find rare books here.

The lady working the store is rude and unwelcoming. Came in ten minutes before the store was closing and as soon as we walked in she said "ah we're closing so unless there's something specific you want, you should just turn around and walk out." Nothing special about the store either, came in a time before and it's mostly newer used paperback books, was expecting something cute and old, with rare books, definitely not the case. Not worth an out of the way stop.

I am so incredibly happy to have found this gem in Georgetown. What a lovely, lovely store! SO many interesting books, the prices are amazing, and the people there are the nicest, sweetest people ever. I cannot wait to go back, honestly I might go back tomorrow and the next day and the next. If you're a book addict, you simply must go to The Lantern Bookshop. I loved my visit there today.
