It's a quintessential neighborhood dive. Perfect for budget drinks and catching up with friends.

Literally walked out of here due to service and the people sitting at the bar. I did not even sit down before I was shouted out.

Wonderful staff. Perfect chill neighborhood bar.

Best people watching spot, best priced drinks, cool clientè. Bravissimo

great bar with a good amount of simple outdoor seating! always quick service even when it’s busy busy !

All hail Tile Bar. Great place to go when you actually want to converse with the people you're hanging out with. Friendly bartenders, *extremely* generous pours, especially during happy hour. Lively crowd, cozy interior, notable lack of tacky gigantic TVs. Crowd ages from mid 20s to 50s. So great that there is still such a reliable place in this constantly-in-flux neighborhood.

HORRIBLE experience. Bartender was extremely rude and turned us away saying our ids were fake—they are not. Pretentious atmosphere. As a bar you should have an id scanner or black box. She didn’t even make the effort to call over another employee to check our ids. If you’re in your early twenties, there are plenty of other fun places in the area to take your business to without being condescended.

Long running East Village institution and sort-of debauched community center — alternatively known as WCOU Radio Bar. A no frills, reliable and unpretentious dive.
