Friends of Reston

Friends of Reston is a wonderful community non-profit. They run programs around Reston, most often out of the Walker Nature Education Center - a nature center they raised funds for and built in order to provide nature education to kids and grown-ups alike. They also provide scholarships for summer camp for kids who wouldn't otherwise be able to go. It's a worthy organization to support, and they have a lot of great opportunities to team up and help the Reston community.

A wonderful organization run by volunteers to raise funds and support the needs of the community. I happen to be one of the many volunteers. With the help of this organization, many kids who were less fortunate and their family can't afford the cost of summer camp program were the recipient of this organization's summer camp project every year. Other project includes helping homes, park improvements and more and all to help the community.
