The Graffiti Hall of Fame in Harlem is a vibrant and dynamic celebration of urban artistry, showcasing the talent and creativity of graffiti artists from around the world. Nestled in the heart of Harlem, this open-air gallery is a true gem that captivates visitors with its colorful murals and showcases the evolution of graffiti as a respected art form.

Beyond the stunning artwork, the Graffiti Hall of Fame also serves as an educational platform, offering insights into the history, techniques, and cultural significance of graffiti art. Visitors can learn about the origins of the movement, the different styles and approaches employed by artists, and the social and political messages often embedded within the artwork. It's a valuable opportunity to gain a deeper understanding and appreciation for this dynamic art form.

I came here with my photography student during Black History Month in hopes of capturing this important part of Hip Hop culture only to find that about 90% of the murals had been scribbled over illegibly by someone who clearly has no knowledgeable connection to the culture. I don't understand how people can use graffiti (a part of Hip Hop culture) to deface a record of said culture. Quite backwards. Smh The mural outside, the one by the swings, and the big one in the middle are only ones that are still intact... and the one in the middle is fighting for it's life.

Great art space highlighting some works of NYC Graffiti artist but too bad it's on the property of a public school. Locked gates and therefore one can only admire it from outside the fencing.

Expected it to be more spectacular like that it was a park full of graffiti but I guess not and the neighbourhood it’s in is super sketchy. So peeps be careful out there. There was a shooting nearby while I was walking there and I heard four gunshots. Kinda creepy, so I wouldn’t really recommend going there.
