It's nice overall but, the elevator broke on move in day and they still have not fixed it. I've been having to drag up heavy things to my room like boxes, steam cleaners, luggage's, mirrors, etc up and down 3 flights of stairs. Its unfortunate because rent isn't cheap and we are paying for elevators that don't work.

I really don’t even know where to start honestly, I NEVER leave reviews. I’ve lived at The Luxx going into my second year, when I first moved in my vents were covered with mold & when I put in a maintenance request it took them forever to even do the request, when they came they only did one vent & literally painted over the mold on the drywall & ignored my other vents. There is mold on my closet vent & there has been a maintenance request for the mold & no one has come this is honestly a hazard at this rate, but according to the other reviews this is normal for them.

It’s also kind of crazy that this is branded as luxury student housing

also office doesn’t even answer phone calls for like the first few weeks after move in dates ( probably because they get a million complaints by everyone because these apartments are DIRTY ) so if after reading everyone’s reviews you still wanna text your luck then have fun because once you see that everyone’s reviews are completely true you will be SOL since there is nothing anyone will do for you until weeks later, which is convenient for them because after having your lease already signed, rent payed, & already having dealt with whatever issue there was for weeks,
then everyone’s attitude turns into “well you might as well deal with it since you’re this far”

also gate rarely works ! It’s hilarious at this point actually because they always send out messages like “gate is getting worked on” “gate is closed again” but it NEVER lasts long

Literally probably go anywhere but here. Haven’t even been here a year and have had so many problems. They have security roaming but people’s cars get broken into and/or stolen constantly. It happened to my friend last night. The complex gates never work, ever. They just stay open. If you renew and your roommate doesn’t expect vendors to be able to access your apartment nearly any moment for an entire month and even bring their children to run around in your apartment while they’re there. I understand cleaning and maintenance but there was no reason for me to walk out and see children running around, extremely unprofessional and not something I agreed to. Had pest control come twice to my apartment to address a big problem but it took them a few days to even come out the second time even though it was BAD and both my roommate and I were uncomfortable being there and told them this. And from what I’ve been told many people have pest problems. The pest control didn’t even help I had to go out and buy my own stuff to actually start fixing things. Elevator hasn’t worked in almost 2 months. Pool is only open 4 days a week during 10-5 so if you have work or school you won’t get to utilize it at all. Plenty of parking for visitors but yet I’m never able to find a spot on my building perimeter and have to walk a little bit after parking and considering people’s cars are constantly getting broken into and stolen it doesn’t feel too safe having to do that constantly. Was locked out of my apartment one time (not my fault) and called emergency maintenance, never even heard back. Office hours suck and don’t even have a couple hours open on Saturday so if you need anything your window to get help is very small. I’m hoping to try and terminate my lease early this sucks. Save your money because this complex charges as if they’re luxury and they are very far from it.

I would highly recommend not living at the luxx it’s not worth it what so ever. I lived at the luxx last year and when I first moved in there was so much wrong with the unit. We had bug problems and so did other people in other units. They gave us a handicap apartment when no one was handicap. Which left us with no cabinets under the sink and you could see all the piping. Everything was basically dirty when we first moved in. When I moved I submitted an inspection form of everything that was messed up or dirty in the apartment. One of the dirtiest things in that inspection form was my bathtub that was so dirty that I could’t even clean it. So I put a maintenance request in about and they were still unable to fix’s it. When I moved out of the luxx they proceeded to charge me for the tub. After it clearly states in the inspection form it was already like that. I’ve tried emailing and calling but they take weeks to reply. I’d highly recommend living somewhere else.

First day of move in at the Luxx and the elevator was broken and my roommate and I found dog food in the cabinets in our kitchen. We also found that the couch in the living room that was provided to us was broken to the point you can’t even sit on it along with the chair that is included in the living room. On top of that, the TV remotes power button didn’t work and in order to turn the TV on you have to get up and manually turn it on (all the other buttons worked on the remote btw). I have found cockroaches in my room and under our refrigerator even after cleaning. The worst of it is that the wifi has been in an outage for about 3 days now and the offices are closed the entire weekend. My roommate and I are going to have to go out and do our homework at the library instead of in the comfort of our apartment where we were told internet would be provided to us to use. As a student apartment this isn’t very student friendly as I can’t even get my work done. Management is nice and they respond as quick as they can but the amount I am paying to live here isn’t worth what I am getting.

I moved into a dirty unit with dog food scattered everywhere in the cabinets, I also moved into a unit with a broken toilet that would not flush. I was told this would be fixed by management, but ended up having to get it fixed myself after they had not followed up after 4 days of a broken, unusable toilet. The "included furniture" also was unusable, as the couch is physically broken and if you sit down on it, you will fall through the couch. They said they are unable to replace the couch, and sent maintenance out to "repair the couch". After a week, maintenance showed up and surprise, took one look at the couch and said it needed to be replaced. Weeks later, the couch has not been replaced. The absolute breaking point for me has been the wifi. The wifi has been out, for the entire complex, for 3 days and counting. Countless calls have been made to the internet service provider who say they have "no idea" when the internet will be restored. How is this "student living" with no internet? I can't even get my assignments done, and I have to drive to a nearby Starbucks or UTSA library, when I was assured internet was included in my lease. Management is friendly, but has yet to really fix anything.
