Riva restaurant

Upscale restaurant located in Bari with English speaking staff. Food quality and service were excellent. Extensive wine list and cocktails can be made at their adjoining bar. Size of appetizers and pasta were appropriate allowing diners to feel satisfied but not full. Staff were attentive and service was at an appropriate pace. Great location for a special date night that will set the mood for the evening.

Excellent service, delicious food, the best octopus I have ever eaten in Italy!

While there were two children trying to literally climb the fence of the restaurant while we were, which was not the restaurants fault, we still massively enjoyed our experience. Excellent food, fantastic wine, one of the best we've had on our trip to Puglia.

Excellent food and service. Our waiter was observant to the fact my wife is pregnant and made necessary suggestions/alterations. We had risotto, pasta, turbot, eclair and Chocolate sponge/mousse and they were all superb.
Highly recommend.

We went to Riva expecting an experience to match the menu and reviews, but got exactly the opposite. Very sub par food while they present the menu as almost gastronomic, but the taste is below average and nowhere near matching what to expect. Do not go here if you are looking for a special dinner as it is not worth it, with many far better places to go to. The location is average and the food is just not an enjoyable experience - there is no care taken for the ingredients or their taste, and I would not be surprised if the food came from a microwave.

I have worked in restaurants for 8 years and no where in my life have I seen such attention to detail and quality of the food. I still think it was the best meal I've ever had I had the steak that was for 2. Service was phenomenal but there was a private event so some servers were awesome but then didn't see them the whole night. Dan was fantastic and knowledgeable wine was great. I went to the bar afterwords and that was lovely and lively. All in all incredible experience and to top it off the servers spoke surprisingly good English.
