Glenfarclas Distillery

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Glenfarclas Distillery and was fortunate to have Ellie as our tour host. The tour was a delightful journey through the world of whisky, with Ellie's warm and knowledgeable guidance. Her passion for the distillery and the whisky-making process was evident, making the experience both educational and enjoyable. The Glenfarclas Distillery itself is a hidden gem, and Ellie's hospitality truly enhanced the visit. I highly recommend a visit to Glenfarclas, and if you're there, ask for Ellie as your host. It's an experience you won't forget!

Worth coming to Scotland! 🙌 We could choose only one of the all distilleries for a visit because of limited time and I am so happy we chose one of the last family-owned distilleries. And, oh God, how amazing Steve was! 🫶 Experience we will never forget 🖤

This is a family owned and run distillery. It has got a visiting centre (opened since 1973!), shot and also providing distillery tours and tastings. The visitor centre is very modern with a stylish design. The whisky taste is very smooth, fragrant and nicely balanced. Starting from the 10yo Glenfarclas whiskeys are excellent with complex palate.

All the staff at Glenfarclas were really friendly and helpful, and Steve, who was the guide on the five decade's tour, has an exceptional knowledge of whisky, and illustrates his subject with enthusiasm. A thoroughly entertaining tour, finished with several excellent whiskies.

Not only is this a great Scotch whiskey, but the distillery tour brings you behind the scenes. The team is very good at making you feel welcome and at home! Highly recommended this as a must see and do for your Scottish adventure! If you can get a cask release or a valinch bottle do so!

The tour was brilliant and very informative. The best tour guide of the five distilleries I visited. The only disappointment was that they were not in production so worth checking as seeing a distillery in production is brilliant. For me, the highlight was visiting the warehouse as the smell of the barrels and whiskey was amazing! I’m jealous of the angels (if this comment makes no sense then ask the tour guide!)

I'm not really into whiskey, but my husband is a big fan. Let me tell you, this tour was absolutely fantastic. Steven, our guide, was simply amazing. He knew his stuff inside out and explained everything perfectly. The five decades tour was exceptional, and my husband absolutely loved it!!!
