Too little space to walk, too many people...

As an airliner I travel the world. The "iconic" dutch supermarket AH messed up my day. Walked 20 mins to this place, picked up some food and then learned at the cashier that they DID NOT ACCEPT credit cards! Can you believe this? It is year 2023 AD and Albert Heijn still remains at the stone age? The person at the cashier pointed towards an ATM and so I was urged to withdraw some Euros at whatever ridiculous fees. Guess why the have this ATM in the store! The place itself was stuffed, narrow aisles and the neifhbourhood seemed depressing to me. Grey concrete and not inviting. This was the last time I visited this place. Only 20 steps from it there is a german LIDL market. Much better!

Great staff, lots of choices..does not take Mastercard or Visa..

Needs 2 machines for recycle, there is always a big line waiting or its broken!

Bit like a Co Op!

The worst AH, very difficult to find products as they are sold out most of the time. Small and super chaotic.

Worst AH store in Amsterdam. Cycle a bit further and you'll find another AH with a much better selection.

Standard AH, but it's too small for the amount of new buildings and people in the area. Always extremely crowded and it's like an obstacle course trying to get around the workers stocking the shelves.
