Drank at both the bars. Fabulous. Bartender Joe at street level makes a mean espresso martini. Rooftop bar bartender Harry was second to none & the view & oudoor seating were great. Igloos are adorable but need to book in advance on weekends with a big retainer to drink against. Great vibe & good day drinking spot. Fun! Recommend.

Really like the location of the Envoy. Right next to the water and walking distance from many eateries. The rooms updated yet a bit funky. Mine had the bed in the center of the room. I thought that might be an issue, but wasn't. The bathroom was modern with glass walls and a rain shower.

Our business group stayed at The Envoy Hotel for two weeks and we absolutely loved it. Sheila Townes and her team went above and beyond to accommodate our -many many- needs, and the location was just fantastic. I owe this great group of people a huge thank you for their kindness and professionalism.

The lobby, elevator, and rooms reek of perfume/cleaning spray. If you have allergies, stay away.

The room smell like grandma perfume baking in an elevator for multiple days, or a middle school boys’ locker room.

Update:
I couldn’t get my flight moved, so I had to stay in this wild hotel. The walls pop every few minutes, loudly. I suspect this has something to do with heat/ac or pipes, but it woke me up consistently through ear plugs.

The shower didn’t drain fast enough to keep the shower running.

The pillows are tiny and uncomfortable.

Look through here at the negative reviews to get a real picture of what’s going on. There’s also a support person responding to every negative review, but they never actually address or fix anything. They say “lol sorry we’re actually great!”

As an ambassador member for Marriott, I travel often. This was one of the best hotel experiences. Alexi, and Vallet were wonderful at the front desk. The staff at the restaurant attached were wonderful. My wife and I had the time of our lives during for the 4 day stay. Rooms, location, staff, all deserve 5 stars.

I rarely write reviews but feel obligated to leave one for The Envoy. The best part of the hotel is the location but that is about where the good things end. As others have mentioned, the AC units in the room do not work well and are governed to not go below 68. Really bad night sleep for someone who likes the room cold. Rooms also lack sound proofing and there is lots of noise throughout the night. However, by the worst part of this hotel was the service. Every person I interacted with was generally cold and did not make me feel like a welcome guest. Marriott Bonvoy status was not acknowledged (I am ambassador). The only person who was pleasant to interact with was the housekeeping lady. Would not stay here again at this price point. Plenty of better options.

The location is great. Sure, the water view includes the roof of the restaurant next door, but it's a good one nonetheless.

The staff were helpful, friendly. Better than average.

Parking is awful. It's Boston, I get it, but there isn't even availability at the front door to check in and unload. Everything was double parked with no help or guidance until I got to the front desk. The obvious public parking across the way was full. I think they cater to people coming to the rooftop bar more than the overnight guests. The staff didn't have much guidance for us ("Maybe try a lot down the street?").

As noted in other comments, the AC is weak. 68F. And it shuts off. Ugh.

The bathroom is designed using glass and barn doors. If you're solo, great. If you haven't been married long, all secrets will be revealed. I travel for work so I'm used to it but this trend towards reflective, loud, see through bathrooms is weird.

The shower is excellent. Good pressure. The shampoo was empty but I survived.

The bed is excellent. Good pillows. Good outlet locations.
