Too class hotel with room amenities, hotel lounge and great lication in the old city and the Papal Palais.
Hotel d’Europe is a most wonderful hotel to stay when in Avignon. This converted 16th century mansion house is the most fitting place to retreat to after exploring Avignon as is the shaded courtyard bar area.
The hotel is ideally located just a few minutes walk from the Place des Papes and Place de l’Horlige and next to the city walls so you can easily step outside to stroll the banks of the Rhone.
Our room was absolutely luxurious. It was large and very comfortable with full mini bar, tea and coffee making facilities, a fully stocked bathroom and lovely linens and towels.
The breakfast was lovely and all the staff were very friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this hotel if you were ever staying in Avignon.

Charming hotel but rooms are dated. Service was nice but no one went out of their way to make you feel welcome. Wouldn’t consider it a five star hotel but historic and best in area.

An elegant boutique hotel located in Avignon, former home of French aristocracy. Surrounded by 4.3 kilometers of a large stone fortress known as ramparts. The city center nearby is filled with shops and restaurants. You can only be delighted by the ambiance of this hotel and the surrounding city.
Fantastic charming hotel, with a building that dates 400 years, inside of the Avignon old town, near the Northwest part of the wall, within walking distance to the Papal Palace as well as the famous Pont to nowhere.

Room is nice and quiet, as it is on the inside part of the courtyard, and stays cool during the scorching heat of the Avignon summer. Inside of the hotel looks like a museum, with statues, chandeliers, and wall art including French tapestry and paintings.
What a gem of a hotel. I wish I lived here full time.
