Located in one of the best neighborhoods in the center of Athens, this hotel is designed to accommodate all kinds of guests! Designed rooms, comfy beds, delicious breakfast which you can eat on the roof with a view of the Acropolis! I totally recommend it!

I booked myself at Jumelle location, but they moved me around the corner to the Hotel Athens location and what a gift that was! You enter through a bed store, and descend to reception. The rooms are perfect, beds of course unsurpassable, delicious breakfast included, perfect and charming neighborhood. A Joy, amplified by the Christmas season 🎄

We stayed here and were upgraded to a suite. The room was beautiful - modern, great air conditioning, comfortable bed. Breakfast buffet was delicious and ran quite late, which is an added perk.

This is a very chic Greek neighborhood, not a tourist area.
The hotel rooms don’t have windows which means you get an incredible sleep in, and it’s very quiet and dark.
The rooms are well appointed and beautiful designed, the bedding is of course luxurious.
Breakfast is simple and delicious, the rooftop is a fantastic view of Athens, and the staff are very friendly and accommodating. We loved that they have staff of varying abilities and lifestyles, it really promotes inclusivity and diversity.
We would 100% stay at Cocomat again.

This hotel is conveniently located in a prime area where everything is within walking distance.
However, it's worth noting that certain rooms have no natural light due to either obscured windows or their proximity to exterior walls. We chose / had to upgrade to a higher-category room $$.
On the positive side, the bedding, quality of sleep, and breakfast were all excellent.

Great hotel, great staff very friendly and helpful and overall great experience. Mattress was comfortable as you would expect in a hotel/mattress store combined venue! Would come back when in Athens again.

Do keep in mind this is a different hotel than the Cocomat BC hotel, there seems to be some confusion online!

Wow! Wonderful hotel in a great neighborhood in Athens. Staff was really nice and helpful. The rooms are spacious, clean and modern. The rooftop has an incredible view on the Parthenon 🤩 we tried a few hotels in Athens but we'll come back in this one for sure!

Unpopular opinion maybe but hear me out. If you're familiar with Athens & specifically want to be in Kolonaki or near Lycaebettus then the location is great If you want to be closer to Monastiraki or Syntagma Square... no, and the Acropolis or Plaka, forget it. Technically a short walk to the first two but Athens isn't Kansas, it's up & down, not an easy walk especially in summer heat.

When I booked I knew Athens was going to be hot so I looked for a place with a pool. A photo of a pool was on their website. When I arrived, no pool. There are TWO Coco Mat hotels in Athens about 10 minutes apart, one with a pool one without. Yes you can use the pool at the other one but who wants to walk a few blocks to use a hotel pool. They really need to clear this up on their site.

The rooftop & rooftop bar. The former offers great views of the city, especially at night, but the bar was never open when we went up day or night. We didn't ask about this so maybe we were up on off nights?

On the ground floor the hotel is essentially a mattress company selling the coco mat beds & sofas I guess, kind of weird. The bed in the room was very hard and the pillows felt like what I would think sandbags would feel like. I've been on amazing hotel beds like some Marriott's but Coco Mat's were nothing unique or comfortable. The room itself... great water pressure and AC but one window which looked into some sort of utility shaft, see photo below, bad photo with a reflection of the curtain but it literally was just a dark shaft.

The staff were extremely nice but I've never experienced anything else anywhere in Greece. Greeks are in general some of the kindest people you will ever meet. Breakfasts were good but again this seems to be common in Greek hotels. Apologies for a lengthy review but I felt it necessary after some of the over the top reviews. Bottom line... I would not ever stay here again.
