A lot of golfers rag on this course for being flat and wet. Definitely wet after a good down pour but you need to realize it is built on a swamp which is my understanding. The course is well laid out and a good.challnege for all.levels

I asked the pro-shop person if my girlfriend can ride along and was told that they have a strict policy that they don't do ride-alongs. Not only did they allow a ride-along for someone else but created a whole new tee time for this group!!! This left me and the other person in my group as a two-some....and we had to wait at every single hole because of this. So unprofessional!!!

Only saving grace - the course was great!

It's a shame because there are some genuinely nice people working here but others are completely unprofessional and rude. I'd strongly urge you to check out some other courses in the area.

Also please be aware that you are required to wear a collared shirt even when using their driving range. This is not stated anywhere on the website and I think is absolutely ridiculous if the driving range is intended to be used by the public and not just for players warming up. The guy in the pro shop was extremely condescending and wouldn't sell me a bucket of balls for the range unless I come back with a collared shirt. I was wearing an unbranded plain black sports top at the time. I was lucky that I did have a golf shirt in my bag. I understand the tradition of wearing a collared shirt and agree you should have one on if you are playing the course but seriously, this isn't Augusta national or some high end country club and shouldn't be required for the range. I'd hate to think how many people see the driving range being advertised publicly, show up wanting to try out the sport and get turned away because they don't have a collard shirt on. Granted, when I did get down to the range, there was 2 guys hitting balls without collard shirts so it might come down to luck on which unprofessional pro shop attendant serves you.

Even if you do have a shirt, don't waste your time with the range. It's in absolutely appalling condition. The picture below was one of the better patches and this was early in the morning. The rest were pretty much dirt and unusable if you wanted to get any serious practice in. There really should be artificial mats in place.

Staff are extremely unprofessional.

Had a group of 13 out for a bachelor party weekend. One friend doesn't golf and we didn't want him to leave him behind. A staff member said that it wouldn't be "kosher" for him to ride along with us in a cart without playing golf.

Our first group of 4 teed off and just before going to hit our second shot we were notified that "someone didn't pay" and they required us all to go show our proof of purchase in the pro shop. Seemed like they were trying to scam us.

I'm under the impression that they decide to complicate their jobs because it's potentially just too simple?

Course is extremely mediocre although it's said to be a "luxury" course. Safe to say it's best to save your $ and go elsewhere.

This course is very underwhelming considering the cost to play. Staff were extremely rude and unfriendly.

Our paid cart rental was given to us with low battery charge. I noticed it not them. Second cart they provided us stopped working properly on hole 3. Called the pro shop to get a replacement and they said “there is nothing we can do, we don’t have any extra carts”. I could have walked faster than the cart was moving. Eventually they showed up with a replacement card on hole 7. That cart started to run out of battery.
Also, weekends you pay the same amount for 9 holes as you do 18. We tried to play 18 holes but ended up quitting at 9. Pace of play was awful. No marshall in site to monitor and assist with moving things along. Needless to say, we will not be playing here again.

Lots of blind shots that make it very difficult to play and unenjoyable. Poison ivy all over. Millions of unrepaired ball marks. No free range or tees with the over $110 price point.
Got 2 stars for a service staff and entertainment on the patio that were amazing.

I played there October 25th. 2 days after a massive storm went through Collingwood and the course was in great shape. Thats not to say that there wasn't water on a few of the fairways because there definitely was. Nothing better drainage couldn't fix. The staff at Cranberry were great as well. Would definitely recommend.

For a beginner and an intermediate this was a great course and I'm sure it's a challenge for advanced golfers too. We played early an afternoon round and an early morning round and pace was perfect on both days. Staff were extremely friendly, drink cart was on the ball and the grounds are well maintained. We stayed at the resort on the "stay and play" package which includes a round per day, range and other coupons for future visits.
