Saw the Christmas Show here last week, and it was great. The performances/ scenery on stage, and the actors and actresses were spectacular. I can see why this show keeps coming back year after year. The Alabama theater also is a cool venue to see a show, but my only issue is the seats were very small (reminded me of a high school auditorium size). I was able to sit in the seat without issue, but a bigger person would not have been able to fit (or fit comfortably). So taking off one star for the seat size, but otherwise was a great experience for the family and I.
Went to the Alabama Theater to see the South Grandest Christmas Show.
The theater had good organization and friendly staff.
The show was one of the best I have attended. Music, dancing, singing, juggling, magic, comedy…. The show was fabulous…..comparable with the best shows in Vegas.

I have never been to one of the big theater shows at Myrtle Beach until now and honestly was pretty skeptical. Surprisingly, I was impressed with the talented singers and dancers! I went to "The South's Grandest Christmas Show" and found the first half much more entertaining than the second half. The first half had all fun funky costumes, songs and dances, the second half was more serious with evening gowns and traditional songs. The first half was kid friendly but I can't picture a young child making it through the second half. Worth going once.
Loved the program we saw Tuesday night, The South's Grandest Christmas Show and it was grand!! The cast did an awesome job in their performances. Several of the cast just caught my eyes like Kenny Duncan playing the guitar and his music was awesome. Daniel Blackwood who is a dancer and acrobat who has been training since the age of 10 in ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, modern, contemporary, hip hop, and acrobatics. Daniel just won me over with his performance and hopeful he will be there when I return to the Myrtle Beach Area again.
We saw a Christmas show at the Alabama Theatre. We were vacationing and a relative who goes there every year highly recommended it and told us we wouldn't be disappointed and we weren't. It was an excellent show. Fantastic singing and dancing and even some comedy skits. They included faith-based songs as well as traditional Christmas songs. The costumes were varied and stunning. The show was approximately an hour and a half long with a 15 minute intermission. We had front row seats and I would definitely recommend that if at all possible. The seats were very comfortable and the price was very reasonable. There was plenty of parking. They have a small gift shop and a concession stand offering popcorn, candy, sodas and alcohol. Pictures are allowed as long as they are not flash photography, but there is no video or audio recording allowed. Definitely a go to event if you're in the area or plan to be.
The South's Grandest Christmas Show is a great must see show. The singers, band, and performers were outstanding. The comedian was exceptionally funny. He is one of the best comedians I have seen in person. The Alabama Theater is a great place to watch live music, performers, and comedians.
