Mitchell Park

A fantastic initiative by the Gold Coast council that provides an amazing area for families. Incorporating play areas, BBQ facilities, rock pools, a water park, restaurants, walking & cycling trails there is something for everyone young or old.

Great free park for kids. Parking available. Tables, bbq, toilets

2hr limit paid parking doesn't accept coins and council regularly hands out fines.

Such a beautiful peaceful new spot. Have lived here 12 years never come here. They have this amazing new play ground fir toddlers and kids.

It's a nice place to play but please advise your kids to wear shoes especially in the tidal areas. The amount of kids I've seen running out with bloodied feet from sharp rocks and molluscs disturbing.

An excellent adventure playground, heaps of activities to keep the kids busy.

They have changed to paid car parks, but never enough to accommodate the weekends.

Loads of tables and BBQ facilities, but doesn't hurt to bring a camp chair or blanket and find a good grassy spot.

Large oval to kick the ball and right on the water, has outdoor shower and heaps of water fill stations.

There is also a public boat ramp and jetty to cleat your dinghy to.

Very quiet and peaceful, easy to park at and great view of southport and the bay. There are also many kids parks across the walk. Would recommend!
