It’s a beautiful building for office space, super convenient to the Metro red line, but there is no retail here anymore. The Embassy Suites and Cheesecake Factory are great; this review is just for the building that contains them.
I treated my friend to the cheesecake factory for his birthday. We had a really great time and our server Malachi was really great! The Chevy Chase Pavilion has really changed over the years. When I first started going there, there were lots of shops & a food court, now the only thing I saw on my visit was a T-Mobile store.

The Pavillion used to have a variety of shops, including a CVS and, with its proximity to the metro, allowed you to make a quick dash and grab for needed essential items. Now there's really nothing there outside of the Cheesecake Factory, and the closest thing to a CVS is probably the tiny grocer 2 blocks south on Wisconsin Avenue.
This place was awesome. I really don't understand the negative reviews. So cool to have restaurants in the same building as your hotel rooms. The room was fantastic. Completely quiet (I couldn't hear people walking in the room above if there was anyone above). Honestly just a fantastic experience. I only have 4 stars though because of the extra $40 or so 'resort fee' added onto the listed price. I hate that. Stop with the duplicitous pricing. But everything else was absolutely fantastic. Great breakfast. Great facility. Etc.
