A very small museum with just half a dozen rooms , although there are some good exhibits.

Small museum that tells you history of the town and surroundings. Worth a visit if you bought the tickets for the caves as entry is included. Staff are really friendly. Not a lot to see in it.

This museum is well worth a visit, it takes you back in time. Lots to do and see. Exhibition of the cheddar man that was found in the cave. Great display of weapons used for killing animals for food.
Highly recommended.

A very small museum with some interesting artifacts and information inside. Didn't see any staff while we were there.

The museum of prehistory is worth a visit for young adults and adults alike,
It shows so much interesting history of the areas of and surrounding area of cheddar gorge,
What people lived around here and what animals used to live around the area,
And what people lived in for shelter and the types of tools that they used to use,
Don't worry Cannibals no longer live around Cheddar Gorge like they used to,
The price of admission is included in the price of admission to Goughs Cave,
Definitely worth a visit,
Either just visiting Cheddar Gorge for the day, or staying somewhere else for a holiday,

A small yet interesting museum, covering the history of the Gorge. Some great historical exhibits such as old drawings and products made from animals. Worth a visit
