Great for hiking
Beautiful
Great circular walk from Cheddar around and through the Gorge. Get directions from the Info centre on the high street.
A great place to relax for the weekend. Fresh air. There is a road nearby, clean parking and the town is a 5-minute walk away.
Amazing trip to Cheddar Gorge. Beautiful views from the High Rocks. Definitely worth visiting.

There is some free parking near black Rock parking area and from there we can climb to the South bank and walk along the gorge and climb down to the caves through Jacobs ladder.. The North bank is not as good as the South bank for the view..

Best views of the gorge from above up here. We parked on the side of the road near the Black Rock Reserve on the cliff Road, no parking charges. The walk up is quite rocky and steep in places, taking a good walking stick, and sensible footwear is essential 😁
