Room was dirty with hairs on the bed sheets, cracks in window frames , manky soap holder on bath, Dirty bath tap. as you walk through bedroom door it’s like using a turnstile, one in close the door to go past door then someone else can get in , as very small room and not much space for door to open, mould in wardrobe,
No plugs near bed, this is advertised as a 4* hotel, it’s no way more like 2* at the very best, staff rude and couldn’t speak English, we definitely won’t be going back, £275 for a discusting room, we’ve stayed in better for cheaper . We ain’t snobs and have stayed in many different places, but this was awful!!
we declined breakfast as was far to expensive for what it was ,

A cozy hotel in the heart of Kensington, the rooms were well maintained and clean. The lift is a little small but understandably so. Elegant decor and traditional architectural design makes this a great hotel

I had a telephone conversation with two employees in the business. I would assume that they're related to the reception section in the hotel. My call was redirected from the HR leader to a forementioned people. The first lady person was at least professional and accountable in terms of democratic setting, however, the second lady demosntrated the entire culture of impudence and the communciational style shows that this place favouritise uneducated and insolent 'obviously' foreigners in terms of the cultural code. It is an irrespective place. I used to live very nearby and was passing the place daily, and thought that it is rubbish.

Response to the irrespective management: You're deluded if believe that I'll stay in a hotel where the receptionist team consists of discriminative 'specific Eastern European vulgarism' and uneducated/integrated diaspora people.

I couldn’t recommend this hotel because of security reason. Someone got into my room when I was out and when I asked for a CCTV check and the manager said my room was not under CCTV covered. Actually, anyone can get into the hotel and went upstairs. And they did not take this seriously, not even reply email after that. Besides, the room was old and super small, noisy as it lies next to a road.

I can’t recommend this place at all, sorry. The most important thing about staying in a hotel is a stress free, comfortable rest.

Instead the walls are paper thin, the food is terrible unless you upgrade to the £3 full English.

You can hear next door talking, upstairs showering, the tv doesn’t have enough channels, there’s x2 plugs in the room and the beds are rock hard.

It’s a great looking hotel, high ceilings, a vast history and the staff are managing well but I think it’s better you choose an established chain.

The Gem Hotel South Kensington exceeded my expectations. Elegant décor, spacious rooms, and impeccable service. The location is unbeatable, with museums and dining options nearby. It's a true gem in the heart of London, perfect for both business and leisure travelers. Highly recommended!

Basic hotel with unimpressive reception area (lobby non-existent). Rooms VERY SMALL. No a/c but small fan provided. Can get hot on the 5th floor during summer. Room service tardy and do not clean rooms well or top up coffee/ supplies. Unless you need to be in the vicinity, I'd suggest looking elsewhere.
