Didn't get to see much, but it's the first time we've been on the property. Love the old buildings.

Awesome 18th century Dutch brickwork. The oldest brick tavern/ house in Spartanburg.

It is difficult to give an accurate review for this house. From the road, it is impressive from all sides. You can see where age is starting to take a toll on it, but that is to be expected. The gate was locked, so you cannot see it close-up. We did speak with someone who told us they haven't given tours for a long time. I hope this place doesn't become just another old house that falls in on itself. It would have been nice to hear more about it!

Was Dissappointed to find it had permanently closed by someone, that also informed me that there has been no tours for about 3 years, and that the owners had moved all furniture out. Leaving it empty, locked from access by anyone. Still nice to see from a distance, you can tell it was an impressive place. If work isn't done soon it may deteriorate beyond being able to be repaired, which would be a shame.

Closed for renovations although there is no signage or updates about it inkine. Came by a few days ago on our way to Kentucky and decided to visit on our way back to Georgia. Got here during open hours to discover it is closed for renovations which was determined after calling the place to try to find how to get to the parking. Please out up a sign and change the hours online until it reopens.

There are some great tragic historical stories to go with this land unfortunately it looks to be according to the sign that is continually posted here managed by the Spartanburg historical society who only shows the price house to their members on special online posted occasions the posted sign on the property suggest that they do tours but never once have I seen the gates open and the sign also suggests that they are only open one month a year!
The historical society has not done proper homework on the price house, their historical information suggests that there were no heirs of “Master Tom” which according to documented interviews with former slaves this is false. There is a lot of brutal history associated with the slave owners here as is the truth among many plantation owners.
