Amazing free museum. Very good permanent collection. We really enjoyed the evening in the museum!

This is a very beautiful museum with a very nice, extensive collection. I really enjoyed it. Actually, it was even better than I expected. Some masterpieces I've never seen before and they took my breath away!
It is also free for all on any day!
There is a small cafeteria inside on the first floor.
I enjoyed the beautiful surroundings of the Harvard campus.

The only problem can be parking, however I reserved parking online in the Broadway garage, which is the closest to the museum (they recommend doing it online before coming). It was $22.
Other garages in the area can be available, too but reserve it online first. And print the receipt to bring with you and put it in the window shield.

Otherwise, it is very easy to get there by MBTA. I will definitely be back!

Great museums and for free and in one building. Amazing artifacts and art covering thousands of years. I focused on the paintings and there are so many terrific pieces. I loved the John Singer Sargent hung in the hallway. Street scene from Cairo. But several other landscapes by Church, Innis, Bierstadt and more. There is 2 hour parking for $3.50 on many streets around the museum including right out front. I didn’t check out the cafe. Of course one museum is the Sackler Gallery and I expected more written recognition of how that family’s wealth is built on the suffering and death of so many people and communities.

A nice museum with a plethora of interesting collections. We went in the middle of the day on a Saturday, but even then it wasn’t overcrowded. However, despite having a special exhibit on the history of opioids, they have retained their Sackler-dedicated gallery. Do better Harvard.

This museum's collection was surprising in that it was owned by one school. I found Monet's work that I couldn't see at the Museum of Fine Art Boston. It was especially surprising because it was operated for free. I think it is definitely a place worthy of Harvard University's reputation. Highly recommend it to anyone interested in art.

We went to Harvard art museum because we had some free time and we wanted to check out some artworks. However, we were satisfied the museum has a lot of variety of art pieces throughout the time and I was specifically really excited to see Gustav Klimt painting. If you have some free time in Boston, I would advise you to go to a Harvard art museum it is free and it is fun to walk around.

Frugal folk rejoice as this museum is now a free-of-cost experience for all thanks to the Rockefeller foundation.

It's such a diverse collection of art and artifacts from all corners of the world and across large timelines. Each room is carefully curated and flows right into the next. You can tell that a great deal of thought went into the displays and their positioning across the layout of the museum.

We spent 5 hours there and still that was not enough to fully experience all 3 floors. Make a day out of it, you'll be glad you did.
