Greyfriars Kirkyard Edinburgh

As Harry Potter fan I had to visit the famous Greyfriars Kirkyard where they filmed one scene from the movie. The place was very spooky as I expected with amazing view of the castle. You can find a plaque under the name of Thomas Riddle who was lord Voldemort.the place could easily travel you back to the movie scene.

How can anyone not like this place? It’s a beautiful church and you have the really moving story of Greyfriars Bobby to go with it. The graveyard is great to walk around and if you’re a Harry Potter fan you can find the graveyard that inspired Tom Riddle (although please be respectful of it!). There’s a paid Q parking place a short walk away that is not quite as expensive as other places in the centre of Edinburgh or it’s very accessible by public transport. Definitely worth a visit, often busy with other tourists though, maybe go earlier in the day to reduce being caught up in larger crowds.

Such an amazing graveyard and Kirk. Famous of course for Greyfriars Bobby and names synonymous with the Harry Potter books. The stonework here on the tombs is extraordinary and you could easily spend a few hours here. There are also parts of the Flodden Wall through the graveyard and simply stunning views of Edinburgh Castle.

El cementerio más bonito que he visto nunca! Te puedes dar un paseo por él y tiene un encanto .. además de encontrarte con las tumbas en la que se inspiró JK Rowling para los nombres de Voldemort y demás personajes de Harry Potter. También está el perrito Bobby.
