Oscars Mexican Seafood

To my knowledge they have two locations in San Diego. This one has sit down places and it looks like they recently bought the building next to them for more seats. The seafood tacos by far is the best I’ve had and the one I go to when I go to San Diego.
The battered shrimp and fish aren’t just all battered, they have one of the larger shrimps and fish ratio I’ve seen. I would also recommend to try their octopus taco which has amazing texture and chew. Even my parents were surprise. Their ceviche was great, fish was fresh and the shrimp was perfect. A little more sour than I thought but it perfect for this dish.

The food was amazing! The sea food was fresh. The shrimp taco was particularly good. The ceviche was quite good as well.

I would move to San Diego just so I can eat here every week. Came in when they opened and the service was incredible. So friendly and welcoming. Had the smoked fish breakfast burrito and it was maybe one of the best things I’ve ever eaten. Such a fair price too. They even gave me a free sample of their soup which was amazing as well. Can’t recommend enough!

Our Uber driver recommended we try this place and that we try the fish stew. I'm so glad he did! This is a terrific place for authentic, fresh Mexican seafood. I would rate this as the best place we ate on Pacific Beach. The owner was at the cash register, and she really listened to what our taste preferences and allergy issues are. She made excellent recommendations and accommodations to ensure we got exactly what we wanted. I would be eating here all the time if I were local.

Absolutely loved this establishment. Visiting from the UK I had a target to try some authentic Mexican food. A family member said there was one place we should try at that was Oscars. I’m so glad they did. The food was fabulous and well worth the short wait to queue and order. I fully recommend anyone who likes Mexican seafood visits Oscars and I will be coming back next time I visit San Diego

We had a great time here. We got two smoked fish tacos, a pulpo, and an al pastor for the two of us. We also got some chips and guacamole and they gave us the fish stew. Super yummy! Will definitely be back!

Saw the reviews and decided to give it a try.

The mixed ceviche is delicious! Make sure to try that. As far as tacos, the most tasty was the grilled octopus taco. Definitely a must get! Surf and turf was a close second.
