Not the best fish taco in San Diego as claimed. Not even the best fish taco in PB. Fish tasted as if it were microwaved
This is the worst fish taco I've ever had. I saw them make it in a microwave. I've never in my life thrown away tacos because they were gross until eating here. I gave some of the fish to my dog, so he definitely likes this place.
Mesquite carne asada tacos? The soggiest fried fish taco you've ever had? I cannot believe that this place is still open, but judging by the reviews it's only because people like myself are mixing it up with the real Tacos El Gordo.
Avoid at all costs - overpriced, terrible flavor, awful texture. There's way better to be had.

Absolute scam, we thought this was the real Tacos El Gordo, but it most certainly wasn’t. Merely a cheap knock off. It’s obvious they were using cheap ingredients and cared little about the flavor and customer experience. I got carne asada tacos and they tasted burned and gross. My friends and I made the best of it, but we totally got duped.
Went with some friends to try the famous Tacos El Gordo for the first time. We quickly realized this wasn’t the real place once taking a bite. Fish tasted dirty, steak tasted like bacon. This is a rip off of the real location. But hey, at least the trashcan was nearby.
Food was gross! The carne asada tasted like barbeque meat. The rolled taquitos were the frozen tacos you buy at Walmart. This place has no affiliation with the real Tacos El Gordo. Please read all reviews before you go to this place as it is not what you think. I feel like the real Tacos El Gordo should sue this place! We threw away almost all the food.
I got fish tacos…. The first one i wasn’t impressed and I didn’t get the hype! It was flavorful but was a bit dry! But the second one was fresh. If that is what it’s supposed to taste like then its kinda worth it! But a bit pricey 10.99 but i feel 7.99 is a better price! Either way I’ll be back in a few months and try it again!
