Total time wasting No make any hope with this stupid place.

After begging for help from this company for over four years, I am still homeless and trying to invade my abuser. I was forced to sign a VAWA act form, by housing and still denied Services. I relocated out of state and the least they did was write me letters that didn’t get me any help in relocating when I came back to Maryland I was still ignored and told that I could not be helped legally or with my housing issues. This company is an abomination to what it is to be a victim of domestic violence. They are receiving funding to help women domestic violence and they do nothing. They are condescending and have no problem telling you over and over again that there’s nothing they can do for you. I understand now why so many women are being killed due to domestic violence.

I absolutely LOVE HopeWorks! I became a Vetted Practitioner and a part of their Speaker’s Bureau to continue to give back to and support the work they do! They have helped me through some very difficult times in my life! I’m forever grateful for them!

This organization is horrible and they should be reported. I'm guess they get away with their horrible behavior due to no one reporting them

Wholeheartedly thank you to Ms. Gina and the entire legal help center! This team’s rapid responses and guidance from the beginning to the end was a blessing to me in such a short notice circumstance. Thank you to the entire staff for each service provided. If you are seeking assistance please give them a call they care about you genuinely and make you feel that way from the beginning to the end. If you need anything…know you aren’t alone…and this team will reassure you like they did me. Blessings.

I felt disappointed & discrimination by the woman and condescending tone . I also tried to find safety in their so called domestic shelter crisis housing options . I was rejected I still don’t know the reason why . I went here 3 years ago for a 6 week class i. That was an okay experience. However I have consistently tried and failed to get counseling specific domestic abuse therapy from Hopeworks. I’m told they have three counselors on staff , and then told by same lady IIm not putting you on the waiting list? These people in my experience do more PLACATING , no empathy or any sort of what you’d kinda expect from place mostly women
In domestic dramas, and violence. The most recent communications was with think same uncaring, PLACATING , aloof, , and DISMISSIVE
woman . She was also defensive ? Seriously REALLY? She must not know what THE I MESSAGE IS OR HOWCTO USE IT ON upset , and SCARED people calling . THIS PLACE I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND OR SUGGEST .
They do what do many organizations seem to CHOOSE to do now a days .. PASS THE BATON TO SOME OTHER PLACE TO DESL WITH.

I started going here about a year ago because I had just gotten a protective order from my now ex-husband. A representative came up to me in court and offered their services, so I accepted gracefully. Their counseling center is really, really amazing. my therapist is the best I've had in my life. All of the therapists here are amazing. They offer group therapy as well which is great. Overall, I love this place and would recommend anyone.
