FX Buckley Steakhouse Crow Street

I visited the main FX Buckley 6 years ago and was absolutely incredible. Had to relive this experience again, so I booked the Crow Street restaurant and had the 22oz Rib eye on the bone with all the trimmings. Truly a step above others in the world of high-quality steak restaurants, I was torn between the Sunday roast and will get this upon my return in the future. Wonderful selection of wines to accompany all the exquisite meats thats on offer. Great relaxed atmosphere with highly experienced staff to explain everything . Life changing food and a firm favourite in my top 5 restaurants. A perfect example of high-quality produce, cooking, and service

Amazed by how good this was! I went with my husband for our 5 Year anniversary and we were delighted with everything. The waiter knows their deal, they come and explain to you all the cuts before and they always kept cleaning as soon as they saw we finish a plate, asking if we are good, if we need something, really amazing customer service 🙏.

Food was also a highlight, best steak I ever had in Dublin since I moved here 7 years ago, is just an experience you should have in your life : 😉

It was quite an experience. We got there expecting to be seated, however no reservations were made so that didn't sit well. However, our party of 4 turned into a party of 2. When the others showed up they were rejected. That left a sting since it was our last night and it hurt. However, they still had tables available for 4.
We were told it was a very well known spot and the steaks were delicious, which it was. We had dinner for two and the food came. .... the table seemed a bit small. The food was wonderful, the service needs working. An incent left my partner sniffling . When it was finally put out it helped. We got a platter for two. It was very delicious the reason for a four star is I wanted a little more comfort in the environment. But it was definitely different. I do want you to understand that this in my opinion would have been so much better if it was managed accordingly. They had the room for four. A table sat for a while with no one at it. But it was ok.

Absolutely amazing - service and food!

The chateaubriand literally cut like butter and I could've eaten a metric ton of their mushrooms. You know a steak house is going to be great when they don't bother plying you with bread first. 👀😂

Scallops melted in the mouth, triple cooked chips and mash were both done right and the green beans/broccoli were fork tender and well seasoned.

The steak sauces were all great, but truly unnecessary - the steak was perfectly cooked medium rare as requested and needed no condiments.

Bamoffee cheesecake was lovely without being overly sweet and the chocolate/orange pudding VERY rich - would satisfy the biggest chocaholic.

Great location after the theatre.

Servers were all friendly and helpful.

This was the best meal I had in 9 days across Ireland, and, was the best steak I've ever had in my entire life of steak-eating. The cook on the steak was a perfect medium rare, the steak on its own tasted heavenly, and the creamy potatoes and garlic butter were a big compliment to the steak. I also ordered a side of sugar pit bacon which the sweetness of helped cut the richness of the steak and potato. I used most of the garlic butter in the potatoes, because the steak was just so good on its own with flaky sea salt. I sat down for dinner around 16:45 and was served by 17:00, and gone by 17:25. The waiter was very kind and very knowledgeable and explained a great deal of information to me regarding the steaks they had available. The drink, Checked Out, was really well done. I enjoyed that I could actually taste cocoa and cherry and it wasn't just overloaded with whiskey. I honestly could not have asked for a better last meal in Ireland during my vacation. Would highly recommend you stop in and enjoy a cut of Irish beef.
