Oldest bar in Rockford, dating from the late 1800's. This is the place where Cheap Trick first started playing and launched their career. Very down to earth working class place with a friendly atmosphere. We always visit this bar when we're in town.

This is the best bar. I’m picky as a single woman I am picky about where I go but Kailand made me feel very secure at this location.

I hadnt been here in 30 years or so. I was back in the area visiting thought I'd check out an old stomping ground. It's a neighborhood gathering place one of the oldest bars in the area. I guess I expected things to remain the same. Bartender was rude not friendly by any means. Had no clue about how to operate the juke box which supports touch tunes. The other patrons were not much better. Did I mention I also bought the house a round and tipped very well. Needless to say I was pretty buzzed when I left there just because I kept giving the place a chance. No chance I will go back. Other places to patronize that would appreciate my business.

Mary's Bar has Great Music, including Pistol Pete, Bun E. Carlos, Open mic nt on Tuesdays, etc! 🎶 Tons of Talent comes thru there. They have pool, darts & slot machines...however. The biggest draw is the staff & customers. It's a place where U can b comfortable, laugh & B Yourself. It's a very diverse group of Ppl who are there because they WANNA b THERE. The regulars are very Friendly & supportive. I strongly suggest hangin out there 2-3 tmes!
