Sunfood Supermarket

Good Asian grocery store in the Markham area. I would recommend their produce and seafood departments specifically. They also have a wide selection of Asian pantry items. Prices are in line with other Asian grocers.

If you go in the morning, they have the most seafood/fish selection at reasonable prices. They carry a wide variety of produce. For oranges, they have low-end South Africa varieties to higher end Sunkist USA variety. They also carry fresh pandan leaves, which I barely see in other grocers.

The place is resonably clean. It's quiet as it has high ceilings. Only the meat department smells a bit.

There are some queues needed to cash out, but it's reasonably efficient.

The parking lot has plenty of available spaces.

Generally cheap and cheerful but you just have to check the quality and freshness of the produce. Otherwise, the other staples sre reasonably priced compared to the “cleaner” places like T&T or Foody. Once you’re done here head over to the bubble waffle, soy bean or the frozen dumplings place for some yummy treats

In November 2022 as I was buying food there try to get 2023 year big calendar the cashier only give me small one calendar. I asked her why. She said i need to spend over 80 dollar. But I said I saw you guy post on the website flyer said you only needed to spend over 60 dollar can get a free big calendar that's why I went there shopping. But in reality it's not true they are misleading you with the information. So customers before you buy make sure you ask them how much in order to get the free calendar. Also, they give free calendar to people they know for free even spend only 10 dollar. I won't come to this supermarket again .

A Chinese Supermarket. Has good deals for food stuffs. Can find some pretty good deals compared to other Chinese supermarkets. Can find most Chinese and Asian goods. You're not supposed to take pictures or record video inside, unless you're real sneaky about it.

We go here basically every Sunday to shop for food and stuff and we always end up buying something because there is always something on sale.

It offers a lot of Chinese specialty products along with basic grocery staples. The after work hours has promotions for dinner sets which are always nice and at good prices. I would not recommend the big veggies as it looks like those goods sit out for a long time, but all the sealed goods and smaller exposed produces are in good condition. It’s not a looker inside but it has basically everything you need for groceries.

I really can't believe this place. First its the food now its the employees. I went to this place yesterday with my mom and when we finished shopping.. We did the usual ( giving the items to the cashier, she/he beeps them, etc you know what I mean ) the cashier looked like she didnt get enough sleep and the service was so bad like when my mom asked for a bag, she ignored her like whats wrong with the employees. Also the cashier charged us wrong. I NEVER brought a big pack of candy.. This place needs better employees, a better exterior ( exterior is poor) Also the supermarket is average clean. I am disappointed. NEVER COME HERE!1
